It is related because the girl said he was shaven, he said he had never shaved that area in his life, so it's another case of him being caught out lying and makes the girls story have some credit too.

Regardless of whether the club had transcripts of what was said or not, I don't think it reflects badly on the club. I doubt the club would have been able to sack him without a conviction. It is very difficult to legally sack somebody without leaving room for someone to sue for unfair dismissal. The club would have had to follow set procedures to the letter.

As for suing him for the wages he received, I believe this is a non-starter as you can't claim back wages for a period where somebody fulfilled their contractual obligations, irrespective of whether they later turned out to be guilty of a criminal offence.

I don't understand the part about why shaving his chest should also infer that he shaved his pubes. It wouldn't be that uncommon to do one without doing the other.

 

Agreed, I was just pointing out to someone above why it was relevant to case. Also if he said he had never shaved his chest (not sure if he did not, just an 'if') Then it's yet another case of him lying and casts doubt on his entire evidence.

Yeah I got that. It was more not understanding why the prosecution counsel said one should lead to the other. I would have thought that was a bit of a flimsy argument to be making when they have so many other areas to be focusing on.
