Is that 'proof' that Konchesky is a better defender than Moreno? <whistle>

no but now t hat you mention it i don't remember konchesky ****ing up as much as moreno has so i probably think he was a better defender.

moreno is a little ****, our worst defender that i can remember.

the pen he gave away at Norwich is probably the 1 single most brainless thing i've seen in football, and that's not even an exaggeration

Every player he brought was ****e, but not 1 signing he made cost more than 11m.

and they were all sold as soon as kenny came in so they wouldn't damage the club further....now we're stuck with overpayed signings for years that continue to make a mockery of this club and i've had enough

Jürgen Klopp insists his Liverpool squad won't stop trying to do all they can to eradicate the mistakes that have plagued their Barclays Premier League season.

The Reds have enjoyed some standout results since the German took charge at Anfield in October, but have struggled to consistently produce their best during a difficult league campaign.

Saturday's meeting with Sunderland was little different, as two late goals from the visitors allowed them to snatch a point that had looked unlikely as they entered the final 10 minutes two goals down.

Klopp is focused on ensuring that doesn't happen again, but is at least certain that a lack of effort from his players is not to blame.

“Of course it seems to be too easy to score goals against us,” Klopp said.

“We’re on minus four with our goal difference and we’re ninth in the table. That’s not really normal. That’s special.

“In decisive moments, we make too many mistakes. That’s the situation.

“It’s always different. It’s not [always] two goals in the last 10 minutes. That hasn’t happened to us too often.

“You lose one goal and you get nervous. If the game changes, one situation is enough.

“We could have scored a third and a fourth before that. That’s how it is. But you are not clear enough in these situations.

“It was not a complete surprise that we conceded the second goal against Sunderland to be honest. It was not: ‘Wow! How can it be?’

“I was in bed and I thought: ‘Okay’. I was not sure that we would win it. That’s the situation.

“But everything is okay as long as we take these things and try to get better because the only thing that’s not allowed is that you stop trying. I think it’s obvious that the team is always trying.”

The Mackems' fightback left a particularly bitter taste given it came at the end of a half that had seen the hosts score two well-worked goals and play some excellent football.

The manager was keen to accentuate those positives as he assessed the performance as a whole, and says they can be taken forward into the many competitions the Reds are still fighting for.

“It’s about bodies in the box,” he said.

“We always talk about it but when I saw the cross from Milly [James Milner] and saw the header from Roberto, the box was full of our players. That’s really good.

“The second goal was a perfect play. Adam was cool in the situation.

“For the future, we have to find a more stable way for us. Where it’s really difficult for them to score, but a little bit more easy for us to score. That’s the target for us.

“We have different problems, but we have to fight during the season for each result.

“We still have a lot of things we can reach this season. We have not only the final, we can go to the next round in two other cups so that’s really positive.

“In years like this, you need that. I think we have seasons like this too often, but to change things you must make the right decisions. For the right decisions, you have to collect the right information.”

    -------------------
    Klopp basically calls it.

I'm sure as a result he knows what he needs and nobody he wanted bar Teixeira were available.

Just anyone won't do. Our squad is full of just anyone's.

Klopp's admitted what every fan knows about our lack of bottle... and ability.

The route to fix it is clear. Not easy but clear.
