we are ****e. I sat in the home end and we were openly mocked. By Preston fans. They epitomize a side that works for each other. Charlton after we got promoted So glad I'm going to two more games this season only. One, Nick - the McDonald's are coming on my behalf if you want to meet with us prior. Everyone else welcome obviously. ****e.
Really? First Half was crap - nothing. There was an air of acceptance when you scored - but we surprisingly hit back. Second half - we never looked like we would score the second. When you scored it - it was pretty plain sailing
Same old same old from cafc hopeless bunch of losers lead by a manager proving to be as inept as Fraeye and way worse than Peeters and Luzon I'd sack him today no point I know but just for a laugh n see who we bring in next
Nothing to say. I was going to predict a win tonight, but simply could'nt be bothered to do it. Charlton under RD does that to a pers
Avoiding humiliation is the best we can hope for these days, so there is an element of relief about a 2-1 away defeat. Our CEO talked in her Irish interview about having to manage the fans' expectations, and she has certainly been very successful in that aspect. We expect a hiding every game now. We had been told that we had signed an attacking left back, and the manager was quite fulsome in his praise of what the Korean would bring to the team. Yet when he decides to play with wing-backs he persists with Fox, who is totally unsuited to this role. How Riga is going to manage this horribly unbalanced squad from now on is anybody's guess.
Riga seemed like he knew that playing 11 players in their natural positions was the best way to win a game, he must have fluked onto that at Rotherham and decided constant changing was for the best, I've kept really quiet but I'll tell you something, he went down in my estimations when he did that, we've not resorted to that. And you can tell him if he's watching, we're still fighting for survival and Middlesbrough have to come here and get something and I tell ya, I will love it if we beat them, love it
Super- The consensus from those that were there last night is that the "Myth of Jose Riga" is now unravelling fast. When I saw our line up at 7.15pm I was left scratching my head - a formation we have never tried before under Riga, and relying on Roger Johnson to get us out of trouble when Preston broke in numbers? It all smacked of desperation, and Karel Fraeye-like confusion. One staggering stat- Jose Riga has won 2 of his last 22 games as a Championship manager. I don't wholly blame Riga though. I blame Judas Murray first and foremost - the Judas Scum who gave us first the Spivs, and now this mob. Over to CARD now to start organising that mass boycott....
the boycott wont need organising. come the end of may, there'll be so many people fed up of watching dross that they wont be back for the entire of next season. even that £150 is now looking like a waste of money
I had no idea who was playing where last night. This was the 4th manager to play solly in midfield and it doesn't work. We had 6 defenders on the pitch I think? Also, I mentioned the fact I thought random player would be brought back in to the fold - and Johnson was that man. Has there been any mention of why the QPR loanee hasn't been starting? Or - why any of our January purchases haven't played.
Riga's comments after the game were revealing. To accurately paraphrase him: "I had to try a different formation because I am struggling to get anything out of these players" Plus the usual guff about this being a bigger challenge than he was expecting etc...
No one could work out if we were 5-4-1 or 3-5-2. It's desperation. Our squad is pathetic, but Riga is also making some very, very strange decisions. Someone starts on Saturday - out of the squad on Tuesday. And vice versa. He needs to pick an eleven that he deems giving us the best opportunity to beat relegation, and give them a run of games. Sadly I don't think we have the XI
Riga said: "I tried to find a way to be effective with the squad I have" Plain English - the players are not good enough.
Did he? Ha. He'll be gone in the summer I think. One thing about last night - everyone seems to be under the impression that Makienok "cares" for the club, and "try's". He does nothing. The amount of times he literally looked to the sky throwing his hands up was ridiculous. Can't wait to be shot of him.
what he needs to do now is plan for L1. play the 11 that will be our team for next year and dont change it. if we get battered week in week out till the end of the season it wont matter as we're already down. but it will give us a good base and a extended pre season so we're ready for next year.
I can't stand the useless, attention seeking giant! With his faux outrage and hysteria at any and all decisions. If he cared, he would retire from football. As for Riga - I assume that the players had the day off on Sunday, they travelled on Monday, so when would they have had time to work on this new formation?
He can't play next seasons team as they are all currently abroad playing in minor Belgian and Dutch leagues. Honestly, RM and RD were both sounding off about not repeating their mistakes before the last transfer window. Imagine the dross we will bring in playing at a lower level. You lot who keep digging out Mak and Fox will realise how good we 've had it this year when we start bringing in players from the womens team, the under 11's and the Belgian equivalent of Cray Wanderers.
Agree 100%. Lost count of the number of times Cakienok has appeared on Twitter this season, saying how "gutted" he was after a defeat. Its all bollox. The same as when he kneeled down in the centre circle "distraught" after the game - it is designed to camouflage how truly ****e he is. Big Cak would be in my Top 10 of least favourite Charlton players in the last 10 years. A useless lump of Scandinavian effluent.
This exposes Riga as the busted flush he now is. I still expect Roland will keep him on into next season since he won't know what else to do.
