Yeah, feel he would need to win 2 majors and with Speith, Day, Fowler etc that could be tough. Reckon a top 3 finish would be certain for Joshua so e/w bet would be the safe option.

You're probably right although would be a bit harsh on Tyson Fury if Joshua were to win it considering how much more impressive it was what Fury did

The more he keeps talking the more I'm convinced he's planning on a comeback. Why else would he want to keep putting himself in the public eye if he didn't plan on returning to the ring. He needs to keep people interested in him.

He fights Khan if Khan can somehow duck And weave a decision against Canelo.

It's the only way- massive payday, new weight division against someone else who isn't a natural middle, and the 50-0.

It sounds like the bloke gets through money too easily so he could well end up needing one more fight, which would be a sorry state of affairs.

The Carl Frampton - Scott Quigg bout in Manchester on the 27th of this month looks like it might just turn out to be a real barn burner. Two World Super-Bantamweight Titles are on the line, Frampton's IBF and Quigg's WBA. And these guys are chalk and cheese. Carl is a front foot, in your face fighter, while Scott is a slick moving boxer who'll be looking to ping away from the outside. God knows how this fight will pan out. Frampton is all of three feet six in height and fourteen pick handles across the shoulders ..... he's a squat colossus with heavy fists. But there are questions being asked about the pounding he tends to take in these top bouts. To land, he needs to get into the trenches. He keeps walking forward. Hence the worries about whether he's already damaged goods. In his last fight against Alejandro Gonzalez Jr., he was put on the canvas twice in the first round before taking total charge on a way to an easy points win. While watching the fight, I feared for him. It sounds stupid, but he seems a little fragile to me. Now the Quigg camp are all over the rumour that Frampton has been knocked out in training. Frampton denies it, but conceded that he did hit the canvas. I wish him all the best in the bout, and I hope he gets the win, but I can't help but think Quigg will be too good.

Proper 50/50 fight Cyc, really looking forward to it. Just hope the winner steps up and takes on Rigondeaux (doubt it though)

The old warrior Felix Sturm steps into the ring today for his 20th title bout, this time against WBA Super Middleweight Champion Fedor Chudinov, a man who beat the German for the vacant belt, just two fights ago. At 37 years of age, he's not the man who went the distance with the great Oscar De La Hoya way back in 05, but it's nice to see him being given another opportunity to say goodbye to his loyal fans. Unless he pulls off an upset, this will probably be the end of his title fights. He's been a wonderful servant of the sport, and I'm sure he'll acquit himself well against the 28 year old Chudinov, who will probably have improved since their first fight. Have a safe journey Felix.

    SPOILER ALERT. CHUDINOV - STURM.

Well how would you be? Felix Sturm at the ripe old age of 37, is now once again a world champion. In outpointing the reigning WBA Super Middleweight Champion Fedor Chudinov in Germany last night, Sturm became the first of his nation to win five world titles. He hinted after the fight that he might just call it quits. Go out as a champion. The fight though is shrouded in controversy. Many are suggesting that Chuninov was robbed. Box stats showed that Chudinov clearly out scored Sturm by a wide margin. But the fight was a close affair. At the final bell, I truly wondered who'd won the bout. To be honest though, I thought Sturm had come up short. The two men were in each others faces all night, making it a hard fight to score. There was not a single round where both men didn't land often. First one then the other. It's not hard to see how judges sitting in different places around the ring might miss stuff, but as they were all pretty close, it's hard to say what actually happened. The commentator was all Sturm, as were the between round replays. To be frank, as the commentator gave the rounds to Sturm, I felt a little uneasy. I actually thought the opposite. Some are calling for the decision to be put aside and the bout declared a no contest. That's a bit over the top. I don't think he won the bout, but it was close enough to leave one thinking. "Well maybe he did just eke it out."

Time to put it on the line folks. Who do you reckon, Frampton or Quigg?

    Quigg.

    Split decision, Quigg.

    Rematch to follow in Belfast.

Frampton is marginally the better fighter for me but I think he has underestimated Quigg and the Manchester crowd.

Quigg for me. For the last 3 years or so i've watched them fight and changed my mind who i think would win between the two after every one of their fights but i'm firmly in the Quigg corner now. Frampton although marginally the more skilfull of the two, i think like Toppy has said he's underestimating Quigg and that will be his undoing. Quigg late stoppage or split decision. The rematch will happen regardless of the results, unless something silly happens like a first round ko!

Surely who ever wins has to fight either Ninito Donaire or Guillermo Rigondeaux? They are considered the best around at the moment, so if Frampton or Quigg want to earn serious cred, they have to take on these guys.
