This match demonstrates to all, how as fans we are being ripped off every season. As punters we pay through our noses to watch our team, (I hear it is one of the most expensive in world football). What do we get for our troubles, Giroud as our main striker. I am not knocking Giroud, just saying with the amount of money we pay, surely we should have a world class striker. I am not saying we should have Messi, Neymar or Suarez... Surely we should be getting something close to one of these guys... Not too much to ask for.

One thing that did make me laugh tonight was, after all of the pomp and ceremony of the champions league, the music, the atmosphere, the talent on show and the reminder that we were playing the best team in the world, was during the add break there was a feature trying to make the Europey pot look exciting It was like watching Formula One, then seeing an advert for some dodgy second hand car salesman flogging his wares.

Can you remember your last league title win or are you under 25 ?
Liverpool were a big club but are no longer a force in the PL and are a mid table to 7th place at best team, and as such will not grace the CL unless you are given a Wild Card

A year ago you said I was talking ****e for saying Arsene could not win CL. What are your thoughts now?

 

I would say Arsenal chelsea and possibly city are bigger than Liverpool. All three have bigger revenues, better grounds, better players and better recent history

 

There isn't an English team that is currently anywhere near good enough to win the CL!

At the moment, you have to say this is true. When you look at Barca, Real, Bayern and even Juventus, they are streets ahead of our clubs at the moment.
