You actually did alright. Didn't take your chances and made a couple of mistakes at the back, though. That's all it takes.
Be interesting to see how Wenger approaches the away leg, as Welbeck got some joy out of tired Barca legs.
Can't really afford to risk going for it early and them putting the thing to bed, so he might keep him in reserve and keep it tight.

 

Disappointing result in the end. Thought we played really well for the majority of the game, but a couple of mistakes and we got punished. Credit to Arsenal for keeping Barca quiet for most of that game. Shame we couldn't convert one of our chances, it could have been a different story.

Oh well, grab an early goal at the Nou Camp and it's game on.

 

While we did good, and though Giroud was good as well, I think this game shows we need a world class ruthless striker, and definitely need a new CB, Mert isn't a disaster, but the mistakes are coming, and it's not like he's going to get better as he ages.

 

focusing on FA cup and League and forgetting about CL could be a blessing in disguise , there is no chance in hell with this team you can beat the alike of Bayern or Barca or Real

Why? We have a stronger squad than you, Chelski, and at the moment City. City will improve? So will we, plus it's usually easier to improve when you have a fixed side, rather than going out and buy 5-6 players like City want to do, or what your ****e side are planning to do.

For 3 years it's been oh next year United will be back, you lot need like 4-5 signings at least, and there's no guarantee as we have already seen, that they will work out.

It's a real shame that we couldn't take one of those earlier chances, as I think it would have put a whole different slant on the game. As it was we got caught high up the pitch and sucker punched by the best team in the world. Then a sloppy touch from Mert meant that Flamini had to try and get something on it, but Messi was too quick. Overall, that was the only difference between the teams. Arsenal did okay and there's no pride lost tonight, just beaten by two lapses of concentration.

Meh, really? Credit to arsenal for 'only' losing 2-0? Psh. Defeatist. If this was a team going places that was early on in its building by a new manager I could buy what you're saying and think "yeah give it a year or two and we'll really go places". As it is, I just watched that game and thought it was a stroll in the park for Barca and another forgone conclusion last 16 exit for us.

Wenger's got to really splash cash in the summer, a striker and defender and a winger.
