    Absolutely disgusting.
Looking at a 6' 2" furious Brunt, I would not wish to pick an argument with him.

I hope they find this 'fan' and ban him (or her?) for a very long time.

Agreed, the FA & police need to be seen handing down very tough penalties so these type of incidents aren't the norm.
A coin thrown high in the air can be nearly as dangerous as a bullet, should it hit someone on a particular part of the head, on a particular type of angle. The higher the falling height, the greater the damage.

they should have just arrested the last person to leave the ground
the only reason for being there at the end would be in the hope of getting his gas money back

Absolute disgrace. We've all been angry with performances, but to do this is moronic in the extreme.

I wonder what the reaction would have been if it was James McClean

I spend far too much time watching and talking about football but have never seriously thought about assaulting any player our own or otherwise over it. There really are some sad twats about.

Ditto. We've all experienced those losses that annoy the hell out of us. This is just madness and a sign of people who are out of control and, therefore, likely a menace to society also.

A phase I love is.... violence and foul language are the last bastion of the ignorant. The arse that threw the coin is probably used to being the biggest fish in a very small pond. (He certainly is pond life. No offence to fish and insects.) Bet he's a right tyrant with his kids as well or, he's a my little Johnny can do no wrong. When in fact the example he shows his kids means they're right little ****ers. Banned for life from all football grounds.

The new Neil Lennon. Hated for his political views and for what he is and the community he comes from. I suppose some people would say it would have been deserved if it was Mc Clean.

Another coin throwing incident at the Chelsea - Man City game. When the kid scored the equaliser for City, a number of coins were aimed at him from the home supporters. The referee collected them as evidence, so hopefully thtere will be some harsh punishment handed out.
