I'm glad to hear that kind of determination and I feel as though it runs through the squad.

Let's see what we are made of now.

For a foreign player's first season it's mightily impressive. When he runs with the ball he's like Ossie, such a delicate touch he just caresses and it's always under his control. He's going to be devastating in the years to come.

It's a relative thing. Us being tired is probably completely different to other teams being tired. We are younger and fitter than any other team. Probably.

If my memory serves me well, young and fit means you get just as tired but you recover about 3 times quicker. Unfortunatly, I am old and unfit, I never recover 100%.

    My philosophy simplifies this tremendously: I don't exercise,QED I don't need to recover. <ok>

I'm very impressed with him as well, both with his technique and his work ethic. The problem so far, I think, is that he hasn't had the time to fully integrate himself into the system we're playing. He's used to being the main attacking threat in an open game. Here he has to learn how to be one of two or three attacking threats against teams that will mostly sit back. As a result, he tries to dribble too often when he should pass in midfield, when it may cost us possession in a bad area. He will also dribble too often when he should pass or shoot quickly in the final third, when creating chaos in the box suits our style, and beating someone on the dribble tends only to lead to two or three more defenders in the way.

It's a contrast with Carroll, for example. Carroll doesn't have Son's talent, but he slots in very neatly to the team because of his passing skills and familiarity with our system. Once Son internalizes our style of play, which I agree will only be next year, I think he's going to be outstanding.
