I think we can approach this game pressure free. Not overly bothered regarding the result as no-one expects us to get a result. I would however like us to get through without any injuries for the game on Sunday. Much more important.
I'm feeling fairly relaxed about this game. Nobody expects us to win so we can go into it without huge pressure. This thread had already backfired on HIAG as he's tried to wum us about a comp that his own team weren't good enough to qualify for. Also if we don't get a battering as he's predicted, then he's going to look like an even bigger twat. It's a win win situation.
Even if we do get a huge battering, I'd struggle to think of any of an English side that wouldn't against this Barca side at the moment... they're on another level to us. So what.
We'd give them a good game. Did you not witness the Philosophy in action against Shrewsbury last night? Total domination.
...we'd be fine against them tbf ... nobody even gets a shot on target aginst us unless a dodgy ref steps in and gives them a helping hand by unfairly sending one of our defenders off
I reckon tonight will be tighter than most think, maybe 1-1 or 2-1 barca, its away where the goons will struggle imo.
I tend to agree. Barca's CL away results aren't that sparkling and they'll treat Arsenal with respect tonight imo. A score draw wouldn't surprise me tbh.
I think Arsenal will score early leading to much excitement. It will then finish as a draw or a one goal Barca win and a moral victory for Arsenal with Arsene claiming they were strong mentally. Barca know that when they get Arsenal back to the Nou Camp it's going to be a gangbang so they don't need to put too much effort into tonight's game.
We did ok against them the last time we played them away too, until we had one of our players unfairly sent off. I KNOW about dodgy refs. You should try playin in Europe sometime
HIAG, is this the most exciting day of the year for you? I imagine you have this evening planned to the minutest detail!
He's been ****ing himself silly over it since the draw was made. Speaks volumes that the biggest game of the year for HIAG is one that his team aren't even good enough to be playing in.
I wouldn't go that far, Stan. However, I am very much looking forward to this evening. I'm hoping that Arsenal can give a creditable account of themselves, although I am fearing the worst. I am not alone in that sentiment, of course, as it is probably shared by most Gooners on the planet. I do admit that, when I was driving to work this morning, and I heard it announced on TalkSport that Barca would be lining up with Naymar, Messi, and Suarez, I very nearly came in my pants, right there and then. The Merc veered rather dangerously across the carriageway and I had to wrestle control. But that aside, I have nothing special planned. A few tins, a bottle of Champers chilling in the fridge (just in case it's needed at the final whistle), the missus on call, later, for a celebratory shag... As I say, nothing special planned. How about you, Stan?
