People sleeping on the streets halved.

Millions spent on turning empty houses into affordable housing.

Christmas celebrations brought back which Livingstone had sacked off.

    Cycling.

Dozens of run down parks being made useable again.

Schemes to help kids get into boxing.

    Borris Bikes.

    Crossrail.

The Mayor's fund set up, to ease child poverty.

Off the top of my head. I'm sure there's far more impressive accomplishments but I can't reel them off. I've just left London and London loves him... Rightly so.

I'm not commenting on his political views or weather he'd be good for the country but he was fantastic for the capital.

I have just checked one of the stats from above, and despite his promises the number of people living rough in London has actually went up a lot since Boris became Mayor. Also, child poverty is undoubtedly risen massively due to welfare cuts, but Boris had little influence over that. As for Londoners loving him, he actually just pipped Ken Livingstone in the popular vote.

Fair enough. My experience up there states differently but I may have found myself in a strange bubble I guess.

He always seems to talk sense when I listen to him and then I listen to Jeremy now that's scary.

In an ideal world where every nation was non aggressive and played by the rules then Corbyn, who is undoubtedly a fair and peace loving man, would be great. Unfortunately we live in a capitalist ran globalised world where everyone is out for themselves that politicians such as Corbyn cannot operate in.
As for Boris Johnson, he is from an elitist privileged class and his only interest is for him to ensure that this is protected..

Yeah London sounds great, just a shame normal people can't afford to live there.
The U.K. Will be unbalanced until we can have super cities in the north that can rival London for investors and infrastructure. Instead of spending more money in London it should be spent creating high speed infrastructure between cities such as Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. The North South divide has to be balanced.

I agree money should go elsewhere as well but that wouldn't really have been BJ performing well as Mayor of London. Disagree that normal people can't live there. I did as a full time student with the same loans and grants people get elsewhere in the country.

Average house price in London around half a million, average wage around 24 to 25k. How do you get onto the ladder?

You rent, you live further out or you go to the council. No one's saying you need to live in a four storey house in the city of Westminster!

Pretty much this. Although you could say this for most parts of the country really. House prices are crazy and I am struggling to find a place to buy and I earn above the average salary.

Neither am I but how far do you have to move further out to afford a house. Average London house price is nearly half a million, so that's all of London, maybe you mean they should commute from Oldham or something?
