Problem is too many people believe the crap the British Media spout them, yet they all have an agenda or political bias behind them. Gordon Brown knew a damn sight more than the media ever reported, but it was not hidden facts they were just selective shall we say, yeah, naturally shrouded in some secrecy that's to be expected but will still be revealed in about 22 years time (30 year wait on cabinet papers i believe?). Problem was Brown tried to back track and had a change of heart when the crisis worsened, trouble was the EU threw a spanner in the works which was to the detriment of the British taxpayer and banking, costing us a damn sight more on top of our 8.5 contribution, or whatever the contribution was then. So when people talk about what we get back, they fail to mention how much we also actually lost as a result of EU interference.
Don't know, haven't checked but I'm guessing any wheat we import is of non-EU origin, probably Russian.
