Can the mods tell me what the rules are about threads on this forum only I notice that Watford have a politics thread and Sunderland has an EU thread? I haven't looked on other threads but wondered why the EU thread on here got closed. Have we got different rules on the Southampton forum? This is a genuine question as I think I've missed some rules somewhere including when match threads can be done. Other teams forums seem to do what they like whereas we have rules which it's seems only the older members are really aware of.
Go to the introductory page of Koeman's Korner where rules for this thread are laid out. Also, at the foot of this message will be the universal Southampton forum rules. Check them out.
Not sure what you mean but it just seems we are more restricted and I wondered why. It's all Not606 so shouldn't it all be the same?
I agree. I suppose we trust the physics and the technology. I understand how an aircraft flies so I'm fine.
I got over my fear of heights by being forced to climb a tree top walk way thing as a child. I nearly pissed myself I was that scared, the walk was about 40ft in the air.
I can stand heights upto a point. And only if pushed. When I worked for the fabled STC, I once had to ladder up a silo in the wind and rain [So'ton Docks] at night. Then I got off the ladder onto a wobbly metal platform and walked towards the centre of the cable silo. It was about 40ft down to the ground and another 30ft to the bottom of the silo. I was OK-ish. Sometimes it's the occasion. Sometimes I can shimmy up a ladder to inspect my house roof. Sometimes I can't get past the ground floor. But there's height and there's HEIGHT in that video!
ChilcoSaint himself said it was being discussed, any news on that? Surely a politics only thread is doable?
You might I never have. Much to the disappointment of my mother, my teachers and the very lovely Mrs Godders.
That's why a lot of people left, those who wanted to discuss things outside the box. Don't get me wrong it is a thankless task being a mod (like a referee ), however some people did get fed up of being told they could no do this and that. However, as some have pointed out, other boards can be unruly.
Don't need an unruly board. Next thing is we'll have a tenuous link to football like: "Ooh I see that lovely William feller was at the Villa game and wasn't it awful about his mum, and well it must be an anniversary soon and we can all have a good cry and re-consider the conspiracy theory because IMO that prince Philip has a lot to answer for .." So keep it ruly, you mods. But a general "political sounding off board" wouldn't go amiss.
