32 - 34 points at best, i cant see where the goals are going to come from tbh.Whether that will be enough will depend how the other bottom sides do. our best chance is with our goal difference imo.

Yes and that's a big shame, We would not be in this position in the first place and would have gone past the 40 point stage.....shame the board messed up..

 

Dai - when Monk was sacked we had 14 pts from 15 games. To get to 40 pts now would mean getting 26 pts from the next 11 games...... or do you mean after 38 games?

 

Don't you understand Why we were playing so poor after such a great season we had ???? Surely you can work it out. I have explained why countless Times and im not going to repeat myself again....If you cant work it out then you cant work it out and that is not my fault........But remember this thought "you don't all of a sudden become a bad manager as there has to be a reason and i have explained that already...

There will have to be a hell of a turnaround in fortunes for us to get anywhere near 43points dragon and i don't think we can do it. I hope im wrong but i have to go with how we have played all season and it has not been good......i will have my fingers and toes crossed all the same....

We are already averaging 1.2 points a game since Monk left , if we continue at that rate of improvement we will have 41 or 42 points .
Seems the turn around has already occurred even if some turn their head and say it's not , pretending not to see.

This is just my feeling after how we`ve played so far this year. The ones with the ? after it are ones that could go either way eg. Norwich have been a bit of a bogey side for us, we could win/lose/draw (and yes, you could say that about all the games).

Bearing in mind that we have not scored two goals in a game very often, it`s usually one or none, I`m having a bit of trouble wondering where we are going to score enough goals to stay up.

We need to score more goals and with the time off that we`ve had, I hope that that has been on the top of the agenda, as well as not conceding. If so, then we will stay up with at least 40 points.

But I`m not hopeful. Smilie alert

 

Prepare to be pleasantly surprised then Swanee when we have 40 points after the Newcastle game ( straight faced while replying ) .

 

Do you honestly without rose tinted glasses on think we have improved ? Because i cant see it and the table backs me up...

All our answers will come after 38 games , not until .55282 . You guys have your guess and I have mine ....so ... till then

 

10 points to go, 10 games remaining. Maximum points against Villa and Norwich puts us on 36. Then we have Bournemouth, Newcastle, Chelsea, Stoke to hopefully pick up the odd win or draw. Then its Man city and Liverpool at home and West Ham away which are definitely doable.
For me Leicester away is the only game left where I would say **** no.

Apologies for the repeat post as I posted in the Norwich thread rather than here.
We already have between 9 and 13 goal difference on the teams below us (not included Villa as they are already gone).
Looking at the remaining 10 fixtures I think between 6 and 9 points will do us, as, the likes of Newcastle, Villa and Norwich in any 10 match consecutive run none have them have come away with more than 12 points.
In the last 10 games they haven't come away with more than 9 points. The worst we have done is 8 and average is 10. So form suggests we should be okay.

 

So after 6 from 9 points how's everyone feeling now about our chances of survival?? I think 1 win 2 draws will see us good in reality. and will get that win from villa at home and we can pull at least two draws from somewhere.

 

The four teams below us have to MAKE UP a point each game on us to catch us .
Considering all four teams below us aren't even close to averaging a point a game , making up a point seems daunting ......and that's with us not making another point
