agreed. I liked the team but thought that Capoue could have done with a rest and i'd have played Berhami instead.
Btw, what time wasting was Evans talking about? Apart from the ball going out where empty seats were and the ball boys were slow, I saw none.
An Ok game ..result was the only important thing . The difference between a championship side and recent quality premier opposition was apparent . Sad that there were plenty of empty seats , find it hard to believe in this historic season , we cant fill a 21,000 stadium for such a game . Perhaps faint hearted Watford supporters scared off by Leeds supporters reputation ..( all those Leeds fans I chatted to on the way in were fine ) ...No doubt it will be near impossible to get tickets for many regulars if the team get through to Wembley . Pleased to hear more Watford players are getting their own songs , I especially like Capoue's catchy tune , although the words need some small refinement . Pantilimon ls reassuringly solid , he makes 6 footers look like schoolboys ...would not be surprised if he was first choice in a year or 2 ..although like most of us I adore Gomes ( in a heterosexual way of course ) . Holebas is a player I rate ..I hope he stays in the summer . This now has to be the best squad of players ever assembled at the Vic ..I imagine the majority of us are happy with around 20 or so of the current bunch ...and I have faith that things will improve further in the coming years . Fingers crossed Flores stays , he is a class act , unlike the entertaining clown who manages Leeds .
That bloke is an embarrassment. Yes we certainly slowed the game down at the end and that ball boy did take an age to get the ball back, but that was it. But Leeds had slowed the game down from the first minute and were playing for time from the start. Nothing very special but we controlled the game and Leeds were utter dog poo - they could still be playing and still would not score. Long may Evans stay in charge!
yes they were very poor... Leeds are barely a shadow of what they were... selling off all their half decent players etc etc Most Leeds supporters who are grown up realise this as a hard fact....
Never be surprised what comes out of the mouth of a Leeds manager and a very mediocre human being at that....
I just cannot understand ST holders not taking up their own seat, whilst it does give others a chance to get tickets, there is a priority scheme for home games. Yesterday there were loads of seats around me occupied by people who do not normally sit there, someone was even trying to sit in my seat! It's a disgrace that we do not sell out for a FA cup game against a big club like Leeds. As you say, no doubt they will be picking up their tickets if we get to Wembley
