Could have taken Brunts eye out, nobody likes to see the team they support lose , but that was pathetic. I hope the culprit is identified and the appropriate action is taken. All to often this kind of activity is brushed under the carpet. Whoever did it needs to made an example of.
Storm in a tea cup. If WBA had of won Brunt would have picked the coin up, kissed it and pretended to put it in his back pocket. Similar to when a can of drink was thrown at Dean Windass. He picked it and pretended to take a swig, that's class. Not condoning coin throwing but come on, it was the main topic of discussion on MOTD and its all over the papers this morning. Football's getting soft.
At least he won't have to worry about attending any more **** games, for at least the next three years. #ChavWanker
There's a good chance he or she will be on camera. Far too many louts in football. No excuses at all.
I imagine he'll be in custody already. He's called Jack Hodgson apparently. please log in to view this image
did anyone hear Dion Dublins thoughts on what happened . he said (slight paraphrasing here) that Brunt had gone to the disabled set of fans to give a shirt to a fan , then turned to the normal fans . i spluttered my coffee when i heard it , it was during the FA cup show around 5pm i cant remember exactly .
I find it strange that some are making a joke of it. Brunt could have lost an eye, he's not a City player, but we've all seen this kind of thing happen at our games from thick ****s that think it's funny to throw objects that could blind a player. It's not something I find amusing. Some players are knobheads, still doesn't warrant coin throwing.
And that is the reason why the authorities like reserved seating. Cameras are watching everyone and everything.
