Where are the goals coming from next season then?

    Is this legally binding?? 80 goals over a season including cup competitions, i think is do-able. think how many times we scored over 3 goals a game last season!!! Just out of interest how many did we score last season???

    Should be getting 70+ next season imo if we have Ba, the new striker and Ben Arfa all making a decent amount of appearances. The lack of Nolan's goals could make that difficult though, unless Cabaye has a few up his sleeve.

    This, with Carroll & Nolan gone we have lost 20 odd goals, although obviously other players would have scored if they weren't playing, I think we should be aiming for around 65 next season, but with a good cup run that could easily go to 80

    Scored about 55 in the Prem last season, I don't think we got anywhere near 25 in the cup games though.

    depends if we try and put a good run on in both of them. 25 would still be a lot though

    Loving the optimism, but I don't think 80+ goals is realistic.

    We only had about 20 goals or so from Carroll and Nolan last season as you've said. The rest of the time we relied on a lot of ****e to get up to 56.

    Now we have Ba, Erding (possibly), Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Marveaux as new players who can bag a number of goals:

    Ba - 7 goals in 12 last season
    Erding - 15 in 31 during the 09-10 season
    Cabaye - 13 goals in 32 apps during the 09-10 season
    Marveaux - 10 goals in 35 apps during the 09-10 season
    Ben Arfa - God knas

    So that's the potential they have when they're on form, and they're all new players. If they play a lot of games next season, we should be overtaking last seasons goal tally quite comfortably.

    In all fairness to Tash, he never said we'd score anywhere near 80 goals... the figure was near enough 55 which is an average of about 1.5 goals per game.

    Plus if were playing a right winger too he might not have to start every run in his own half after collecting from the back. I fancy Jonas to get more this year than last.

    Captain Colo's going to get a few more than last season, and if Saylor plays more he could get a lot
