Strange game that as we have played much better this season and lost?

 

Yes it is. Rooney has spent most of his Man Utd career out of position to fit greater talents than himself into the team. He's been shunted into attacking mid, left wing, centre mid etc. just to fit players like Van Persie, Ronaldo, Tevez, Berbatov, Van Nistelrooy etc. into their preferred positions. I'm not saying he hasn't played an important part in your trophy wins, but it would be other players being shunted aside for him to get the leading role had he stayed at Everton and its obvious to anyone that a player of his calibre would have a more significant role in a team like Everton than in a team like Man Utd.

 

Oh and just want to check, what time is the Merseyside derby on next weekend?

What a difference actually playing with a goal keeper makes

Only conceded 1 in our last 4 with Robles between the sticks. Won us the game today, he was superb (barring the King header). We'd have lost that game if Howard had played today.

Our team is currently picking itself and if you look at those who can't get in the starting XI we've got real strength in depth.

Suarez was our best player by a distance but that was all .
Whilst being hugely talented and onfield incredibly influential was nowhere near our most popular player with fans even in recent past never mind going back.
The club is so much more than the players but i get the impression you have no feeling at all for the club and probably claimed the same about Torres which is about as far back as you go (if you are a LFC fan which i'm still in 2 minds about )

I didn't say he hasn't played a significant part in your team or your successes. I specifically said "I'm not saying he hasn't played an important part in your trophy wins".
