3 points, Beefy. The argument for being in or out has been gone over many times before. When I lived in NZ I read up about how they coped when GB went into the EU, and they didn't fare well at all, but they eventually recovered to obtain new markets in Asia and the Pacific. They were pretty pissed off about it too, as they felt they'd been ditched. This was a general feeling throughout the Commonwealth, even Canada and India. They barely need us these days, but you can bet your bottom NZ dollar that we'll go back to them if times get tough. But the World has changed. Peculiarly, if the English Channel wasn't there, or General De Gaulle hadn't said, Non, we wouldn't be even contemplating this question. We'd be as much about Europe as Germany, France and Italy, instead of feeling as if we're on the periphery all the time. Me, I feel as much a part of Europe as if there was a land crossing to the continent. Going it alone with 60M people on an overpopulated island 22 miles from the continent just isn't an option, for me.

What do you guys think of this by Gove? It's long winded so won't copy and paste. http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2016/02/michael-gove-why-im-backing-leave/
It seems that Fats is the one who's gone off from here - I'm beginning to wonder if we should start sending out search parties. He may be in complete mourning ......
"I have a normal group, 2 in London and 1 in Brighton"....Hmm, I wonder who that can be?... ( I cheated and pressed the translate page)
She doesn't know anyone normal, I can assure you of that. I also have no idea who Barney is, with his Dim Sum!
If you fancy a change of pace, I've just watched the GB 4 man bobsleigh team do a fantastic run [live]. Everything smack down the centre of the track: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/winter-sports/35477706
Don't know about Fats, but I may have to go into mourning for a while... It'll never last. She is waiting for Fats & me to fight it out.
When you've got Nigel Farage and George Galloway on the same side as IDS you know it must smell pretty awful somewhere..
Is there any chance at all that, the day the referendum is announced (or ideally today), it gets its own thread? Please? Pleeeeease? Pretty, pretty, pretty pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? Political argument on forums really are awful. Vin
It's happening on June 23rd, isn't it? Our final Euros group game is on the 20th, so we'll be out of Europe twice in a matter of days.
