    You are welcome. :)

The stats don't show the full story though. It was far from a lockout.

Despite a hard working packed defensive effort, they broke through quite often. Only the keepers performance, poor finishing and good luck ensured the result. On another they they would have scored three.

That's why they're ****e. They are toothless. They've shown that last week and today. Good result anyway!

    Hairy muff.
We'll see how much apathy there is when the Arse come to town.

Things change. Our defence was awful then and has been great recently. They scored 5 that day but we're shocking last week considering we had 10 men and sounds like they had a mare in front of goal today. If we're talking about them of late, my statement stands

Spurs will win the title anyway so all that is irrelevant, and despite what you just said Arsenal are a better team than you considering they are missing their best player Cazorla

We've been mediocre recently, but we're still only 2 points off the top of the table with 12 games left. It can all turn around very quickly, although looking at our fixture list, I genuinely don't expect it to happen. Hoping Arsenal can actually prove me wrong for once!

That being said, you seem to have a massive chip on your shoulder about Arsenal. Regardless of the result last week, you've still had a brilliant season and you're still top, so there's really no need to be so bitter.

Just seen the BBC highlights, any other day/ref the Arse would have had 2 penalties, handball first half, Meyler's tackle second. Great result though, Josh Tymon won't forget it in a hurry.

    No Hiding Place. Excellent episode.

Although it was an England game versus Bulgaria that they were trying to avoid the score of.

I think if Cazorla had stayed fit they would be about 9 points clear, what a player he is. As it is I think Spurs will just squeak it but only because of that and the way they are improving at just the right time, Leicester have peaked and also lost their momentum too by having a holiday at the wrong time

By the way, in the midst of all the frustration and anger about the lack of bottle from my team, I've not given Hull enough credit for the way they defended and held us at bay, especially with a second string side and a congested fixture list (similar to us in that respect).

Would be nice to see you back in the Prem. Best of luck in the league and you'll probably hear from me again when we play next in a few weeks.

What a nice change to have a decent Gooners fan on here, usually you find them berating and belittling us on here and elsewhere. Good luck yourself

Cazorla has been a huge miss for sure, but what really frustrates me is how teams bypass our midfield so easily. Flamini has been terrible for ages and he showed again today why he's finished at the top level, so many cheap fouls in silly areas. Shouldn't have started.

Our passing is also rubbish. No fluency in our game, we misplace basic passes and we take too many touches on the ball. Need to be quicker.

Oh and we aren't ruthless enough in front of goal. This has been a problem for years, but we actually have the lowest conversion rate in the Premier League, which says it all.

Oh and our attacking options aren't that reliable, too.

But apart from that, everything is good <laugh>

On another day we would have had a penalty, Aluko would not have been flagged for offside when he wasn't and they would have finished with ten men.

You might be right about the penalty, that bit wasn't in the highlights, nor the possible sending off. I thought the Aluko decision was marginal but the keeper saved it anyway, unless there was another one...

The "hand ball" is probably a penalty, although he threw himself at the ball & his arm hit it! Meyler had a good tackle IMO, slid in & as far as I could see, won the ball. Couldn't hear the commentary so no idea what they were saying about it!

    TIGERS SPIKE GUNNERS' GUNS

The best team doesn't always win. This pulsating game was proof of that. A strong Arsenal team were unable to break down a stubborn Tigers side, who battled manfully to secure a deserved nil nil draw at the Emirates. Another Groundhog day in the Cup, but, make no mistake, this was a great performance by the Tigers. A virtual second string side, including sixteen year old Josh Tymon, defended with courage and no small degree of skill, rode their luck, and almost won it at the end.
In goal for the Tigers, Eldin Jakupovic put in a great performance, easily winning the competition for Man of the Match. He was little short of brilliant, as were the entire defence. This was one of those games where Arsenal attacked in wave after wave, but City were equal to the task. Another word for Josh Tymon, who put in another astonishingly composed game, never once looking out of place. Arsenal mustered twenty four chances, but still couldn’t put the ball in the net. Nil nil at half time, and we dared to dream.

The second half was simply more of the same. An increasingly desperate Arsenal side brought on Giroud and Sanchez, but all to no avail. City stood firm , and should have won it in the eighty sixth minute, when Aluko had a glorious chance. A Tigers win would have been hard on Arsenal, but they will not look forward to the replay. This report is not long enough to record all the near misses, and the two penalty shouts for the Gunners, but , in the final analysis, sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you (at least that’s what hunters say)

To sum up; every single City player was a hero, Jakupovic was sensational, and Arsene will not relish the game at the K.C. If you come to that game, stand up and cheer when the team comes out. They really, really deserved it. As for Stevie Bruce, he got it right again. His tactics were spot on and the game plan was put into practice by his team. One of the best nil nils this supporter has ever seen.

And to finish, thanks to all the Lokeren fans who came to support City, and sang their hearts out. Come to the KC any time. You’ll always be welcome.
