Jak....Brilliant performance by a hugely underrated GK (on here at least) Curtis....repeated his heroics of the Cup Final (without the goal). Bruce/Maguire....both rocks. Impossible to separate Magnificent defensive performance. Honourable mention to young Josh Tymon..
Jakupovic - his best performance yet and underlines how good a keeper he can be (not like some of us haven't been saying it for ages...) Maguire - confident carrying the ball out of defence and looked class. Davies - a good never say die performance from him. Was quite impressed with Powell and Dio today. A good performance, be interesting to see how seriously Wenger takes the replay.
Jak - some really great saves Davies - Rock solid + marshaled defence Powell - good solid debut - promise of more to come Great all round defensive performance and although we didn't really want a replay we deserved that result today - well done to all 14 players involved - no one had a bad game
Says a lot for Jak's professionalism and attitude, imo, that he can put in a mom performances like that. After all, he hasn't played many serious game for most of the season.
that young lb of yours looked good. ryan taylor not so much kosc'ielny should have been sent off, credit to you guys..hope you do them over in replay
Jakupovic had a once in a life time worldie performance and defo MOM Maguire just shaded Davies for calmness on the ball some step overs and cruyff turning, CBs did very well today under non stop pressure Davies, as per above played weel under lots of pressure Hat tip to Powell who looks handy but also ****ed after 20 mins!
Mark Harry Curtis Great battling performance and we created some chances later on which the asst ref wrongly flagged.
I would agree. Doesn't alter the fact though that it was a top class performance, from a player who has been castigated by many on here..
I'll hold my hands up, it's still from that Wednesday game, but he's proved himself to be a good keeper, he'll go down as a cult hero at City, a player who is very Marmite! On his day he's excellent, I just feel he's always got that howler coming. I'll stop with the Wednesday thing now after today & believe in him. It's funny, we needed a replay to beat Brighton on our way to the final....
Unbelievable.!!! That has to go down as one of the best ever performances by a Hull City keeper. Hope Jak has finally silenced his critics on here. The finger tip save to push the ball onto the post was world class.
I think he's looked good in every game he's played this season - just that comedy moment against Swansea. He looks more confident and seems to communicate well with the defenders. One floppy punch today but a brilliant display of shot stopping.
