    my view is a rather simple one... we limped along without a decent striker last year so if we get another in then it will more than make up for losing Nolan but I have a gut feeling players like Saylor and Colo will chip in a bit more this year too...

    Ba top scorer for us 10-15 followed by Ben Arfa (if fit) 7-8 after that who knows? Marveaux to be the next Thierry Henry? 20 goals!

    The best possible scenario I can see:

    Ba - (if he stays fully fit) 15-18 goals
    Best - 10-12 goals
    Lovern - 5-8 goals
    Shola - 5-8 goals
    S.Taylor - 5 goals
    Ben Arfa - 8-12 goals
    Barton - 5-7 goals
    Cabaye - 5-7 goals
    Jonas - 4 goals
    Colo - 2 goals
    Marveaux - 2-3 goals

    That's the potential we have. However, whether that comes to fruition is another thing entirely.

    Your original estimations are very pessimistic though. In some cases, they're worse than what players got last year.

    I think you're off your tits too Chappaz, this whole "goals scored" assumption thing is weird. The variables are massive depending on injuries, appearances, form, strength of opposition etc. You may as well try and guess who we'll play in each FA/League cup round.

    Well it's just a bit of fun. I've gave my estimations based on a scenario where all players stayed fit and had near the maximum number of appearances. In reality anything else could happen, and some players will make way less appearances than others.
