Rooney has done well for us....sometimes people allow other things to guide opinion (as do we all, not claiming innocence in that). It's not his fault that we had few stars during his time at the top....and no one can doubt his loyalty. However, his star is on the Wayne <----geddit . This injury may have come at the right time....forcing Roy to consider other options.
Bolton have sold their training ground to Wigan...who will move there in the summer. http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-euxton-training-ground-2962314.aspx
The subject of a winter break has been raised again....this time not a Christmas break, but a couple of weeks in January with the return timed to start with the FA Cup third round. I don't like football stopping at any time, but realise I may be unreasonable. Preserving the Christmas/New Year matches is a good idea....especially as December rarely has the worst weather. May be a good idea, especially as many players get only a short summer break if involved in Internationals.
Yeah I've always been against the idea of a winter break due to not wanting to lose Xmas fixtures, but I can get on board with a January one, think it will happen very soon too.
The Christmas fixtures, coupled with the early Jan ones is what needs to change. The number of games played in that short period is bonkers and doesn't give players full recovery time.
http://talksport.com/football/concu...fender-andy-wilkinson-retirement-160219185624 Former Stoke player Andy Wilkinson forced to retire after failing to recover from concussion after a match a year ago. Worrying and not worth taking risks.
Serbian football has a winter break from the middle of December until the middle of February due to temperatures regularly hitting minus 20 and weeks of snow. (last 2 months have been positively balmy tee-shirt weather with one little flurry of snow)
Bit of cod reggae, clichéd situations in the video, appallingly poor lyrics. It gives football supporters a bad name, and that takes some effort. What is there to like? Points deducted? Relegation, at the very least.
