Yup....so good they have tried to mimic since. Superman Returns...they concentrate on getting an actor that looks like Reeves and tbf he really did....**** supporting cast, **** script fecked it though. Man of Steel which I don't mind btw...they try to decamp superman 2...but just doesn't ring well with our age...

eeeew Man of Steel was dogshit.
    Worst superhero movie ever.

    Superman Returns wasn't good.
Lois Lane and Lex Luthor were terribly miscast, but Man Of Steel made me want to vomit, literally, the camera work was ****ing awful.

I know lol...think it had more to do with two things...Hans Zimmer score and the fact it was the first honest superman film...the whole he won't kill but faces off against dudes that the combined fight somehow doesnt have huge collateral damage always pissed me off with the character lol

No John Williams score = No Superman
Superman Returns sucked, but as soon as the music started in the credits, I knew I was watching Superman.
Imagine a Star Wars film without the JW score, or a Jaws film without it, or Indiana Jones.....just...no.....

That is true....I just like HZ.

But they all have their tag..Zimmer, Horner, Williams, Elfman...

Also weird that certain directors use the same guy all the time...like its now part of their identity...works though apparently.

Hedy Lamarr starred in one of the very first mainstream full nude scenes. Just her running around a field naked, probably available on Youtube as it is classed as cinema history, not porn

    Interesting talk on superman.

Might I just add batman here.

The casting of the rest of the characters is so vital.

Best batman movies. De Vito doing penguin. Nicholson doing joker... ledger doing joker.

Superman needs a great villian and lois lane. I totally agree.

This is why batman v superman for me is a big oh oh... especially when Mr affeck is cast.

Jessie Eisenberg is worrying me more...think it will end up as big a car crash as Kevin Spacey.....

Spacey just did a Gene Hackman impression.
    Esienberg is ****ing irritating.
Social Network was a good movie, but it worked because he was playing Mark Zuckerburg who is also irritating.

Eisenberg is down the list. Batman and Superman are both badly miscast anyway.

This movie will have to be something never seen before, with a script that breaks the mould for the superhero genre, in order to overcome the car crash it looks like being.

Henry Cavill is **** as Superman, Ben Afflecks Batman looks like Robocop, and the armour makes him look bloated and fat.
    Won't be watching it.
