Off Topic Mafia game: The island

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by moreinjuredthanowen, Feb 8, 2016.

  1. How come you didn't target me this time? Thought people would link us as a result but they didn't

I thought about starting it but I couldn't commit the time at that stage to see it through lol

I thought it's become a cliche, so decided not to bother.

Plus once the game got going I thought you were scum from early on, as you weren't playing in your usual style. So I thought if I lobbed you in, then I'd be a goner, plus there was nothing tangible to pin on you.

  5. You always think I'm dodgy lol

Seems the only reason people think I was guilty this time was because I was busy <laugh>

When I was available I was on here posting and asking questions etc.

  7. I've been a instant target since the very first game <laugh>

This is the first time I avoided attention early on. I didn't really get that much yesterday thanks to Nev :)

I think it's impossible for people to totally forget that they've been screwed by certain people before - especially if it cost them the game. Sometimes it's not a case of deliberately carrying things over from previous games as much as it's just having learned not to trust some people in these games.

You not being on much aroused my suspicions, and then when you did appear I thought you were a tad tentative, compared to how you normally play.

I'd sussed Tennis as the SK, and I thought astro was trying too hard to push for the direction from day 1 (and called him out on it), but he made some constructive posts after that, so I wondered if he had a task role as opposed to being scum.

I thought Nev was guilty as well though, so got that wrong (sort of lol)

I always think afc is guilty, but didn't have him pegged this game.

  10. I'm getting a bit board of mafia now though. We need some new blood. We all have our views on others before the game starts

I tend to always be suspicious of Gerrez but never actually follow through on it by getting him lynched or trying to kill him. When I've had an investigative role he was the first person I thought to investigate though.

Ibwt comes across as guilty to me in every single game, doesn't matter what role he has or which team he is on, something about the way he plays screams guilty to me <laugh>

Tobes and Astro I'm usually wary of as well but neither are usually in my main firing line.

It's funny how your perception of someone with in the game carries through multiple games. It's probably just us all assuming we know each other's play styles or seeing certain playing styles as suspicious.

We should arrange a game where everyone signs up and then on the day the game starts creates a multi, and plays with that account.

Making sure their new account names don't give away their allegiances etc. I'd be ****ing hilarious, as we could mimic each others posting styles trying to portray ourselves as whoever.

We could do with a game that could handle a massive amount of players and try and get a lot of people from other boards involved. I think it's mainly the Liverpool and Newcastle boards at the minute with a couple from Chelsea and Man United and then AFC and Tobes (not certain of exactly who people support). If we could somehow get multi-board sign up then even though most would only play once, we might end up with a few new ones who keep coming back for more.

It would be a hell of a lot of work to get organised though.

I try to have the same playing and posting style no matter my role but it's pretty hard, not sure how successful I am at it. Do I have a very different style when town vs scum (I haven't really been mafia ever I don't think, SK twice though).

A lot depends on how busy I am at work, fortunately the site issues helped me in that respect as it wasn't obvious that I wasn't online as much as usual.
