And I think you have pointed out (more than once) that some were calling for Fergies head so maybe some comparison? How do you think Klopp is doing in comparison to Roy given time in the job and squads inherited?
Agreed, but his "patches" seem to last 1/2 games then he goes 8 or 9 as meh. As I say, he is a 1 in 8 player.
Too harsh. I purposely said like Rooney. He goes on six to ten game purple patches scoring goals (least he used to). Coutinho has injuries problems fairly often and always takes time getting back to form but once he's there he is quality. Similar for Sakho actually.
Not saying he is poor the other 7, he is just a good AM but nothing special. On his 1 game he is almost unplayable.
As has been pointed out, Roy inherited a far stronger squad than Klopp has and Roy weakened it by signing his own brand of ****e players, we have to give Klopp the same opportunity to sign his own players before passing judgement, and just as your fellow mancs felt that Moyes was out of his depth at OT we felt Roy was at our club.
Coutinho, Can, Sakho, Firmino (Sturridge), Clyne, Milner, Henderson, Lallana, are you saying this is a weak squad?
Just because Utd are now ****e?, that's no way to measure the strength of the league. There's no guarantee Utd(or Chelsea)will be any better than they are now for the foreseeable future, will that mean whoever wins the title during that time don't deserve it? The league is strong, its just that some of the teams that used to be strong ain't anymore and Utd are one of them and some teams(Spurs and Leicester included)are stronger.
My head says one of the La Liga teams will win the EL again given their terrific record in this competition in all its formats (Fairs Cup, EUFA etc), however for some bizarre reason I can see Borussia D v Liverpool in the final, 50 years after their first final together, and of course Klopp taking on his old team again. Added together the coming together of two sets of fans that are charismatic, colourful and full of humour it would be a final to savour for anyone lucky enough to get a ticket. I also feel a match with Athletic Bilbao on the horizon which would also be fantastic and a chance for Liverpool fans to go to one of the best new stadiums in Europe, encountering fans like yourselves that like to give the Government the two-fingered salute. I think I am right in thinking during Alonso's days at Anfield there use to be a plethora of Basque flags to be seen, so it would be like meeting old friends again.
I actually agree with the mancs.. coutinho is our one really talented player but he is way too inconsistent. he'll turn in a wonder strike or an assist onc ei na while but a lot of the time its not great .................... firmino's position needs fixiing. I feel he's distinctly average o nthe right side. I think he is an upfront player. as no 10 i am unimpressed a shis passing is so sloppy. .................... Our CMs are woeful. the effort put in yesterday was piss poor. ............................ Our defence is a joke. the clearances are sloppy and moroneo is so advantageous at LB. Ides is right a spanish side will win this cup and probably play an italian in the final.... the simple reason is both can retain possession first and defend properly second.
