Exactly Cromer and I said something similar in post #8 on this thread. Unfortunately, I'm sure he's on a season long loan!!!! <doh>
Olsson has been dreadful this season and shouldn't even be on the bench IMO!!!!

Given Alex's propensity to play players out of position, maybe our best back four should be:

    Jerome, Lafferty, Mbokani, Bamford

    Just a thought ? <whistle>

<laugh> Well, at least that should help eliminate conceding soft goals from set pieces, which we've done all season long.
And given that there's not a week goes by without one player or more out of position (as in Howson DM one week, right wing the next, Wes wide left, etc <grr>) then your wondrous strategy shouldn't take too long for them to adapt to, OCF <yikes> <doh>

I sort of wanted to see Bennett and Pinto play vs West Ham, but seeing as AN seems to think Martin is still our best RB and Bassong deserves to feature at CB, I say stick with these four for the foreseeable future (with Ruddy in goal):

    Martin - Klose - Bassong - Brady

For me it isn't just about back 4. Possibly our best back 4 means weakening our ability going forward. With a run of games we expect little from I'd be inclined to bring Olsson back in and see if he can find some better form. The higher up the pitch we get Brady the the better as far as I'm concerned.

For that reason I'd like to see: Martin - Klose - Bassong - Olsson

If Olsson is truely horrific and finding no form in the next 4 games then I guess drop him if the positive of Brady higher up doesn't outweigh his defensive short comings. Olsson has played well before at this level and Brady is hardly undropably good at FB so I'd give that a go.

I'd also like to see Pinto come on for Redmond and try him out infront of Martin. Hopefully giving better defensive cover but still maintaining a threat going forward. That said Redmond had one of his better games so I would say he has earnt the right to start the next one.

    Bah!

I know you were joking, but I wouldn't mind finding out if Jerome could play centre-back.

He wins his fair amount of headers when on defensive duties, and since he can't score with his noggin, he might as well defend with it.

He misses LOTS of headers when in the opposition's penalty area!!!! I'm not sure if he has scored a headed goal (waits to be corrected!!)

That wasn't the game concerned - but holy Moses, the brief highlights are well worth another watch regardless. And who was that total waste of space we virtually gave away to Sheffield Wednesday again? <whistle>

That's about his level, I mean, Blackpool and Huddersfield are not likely to have Barcelona quaking in their boots!

Well, neither are Norwich - or circa 14/15 Premier League teams, as they'll never get to face Barcelona.
I totally fail to understand your point? :emoticon-0112-wonde
