Where's the extra temporary pedestrian lane? The one that's in place from 1pm though to about 6.30pm that takes up that traffic lane and isn't removed until after the crowd start to thin after every game? You lads are way too media gullible. Laters.
I've already said some people may have left, but not the numbers being mentioned. That would require the gates to be opened fully. They weren't, people were stood in front the closed gates drinking as normal. I walk a quarter of the stadium to meet friends at half time, they weren't propped open, the odd few were opening and closing straight away. It's exaggerated to death. But believe what you want lads.
Jeff Stelling, 15/08/2015, 16:15. Sunderland's first home game of the season. "In a few minutes time I'll tell you the names of all the Sunderland fans who are still in the stadium at the Stadium of Light"
Well as you've just said, that leaves three quarters that you didn't see. I don't know if thousands of fans left early or not, the point I'm making is neither do you.
Nice prices by Sunderland. However, as for the fanbase /numbers that attend the SOL it should not be a surprise. What else do Sunderland fans have to watch. Hull has 2 top flight RL clubs as well as City. Yes some go to both but not all by any means. With prices like Sunderland and a bigger capacity Hull City could attract 35,000+ in the PL.
We've done this subject to death, you're wrong tickles ......... No we couldn't, the only time we sell the KC out is when the glory teams come - there's that much apathy towards Hull City I doubt we'd sell out a 35k stadium at £20 a pop.
Yes we would. £20 for PL games..... sure we would.imo. At the moment though it is all irrelevant. However it is funny when the SOL empties @ 0-3.
The fact that many places with the same (or smaller) catchments than us regularly sell out larger grounds obviously prove that we could. It would take sustained success in the Premier League and suitable pricing obviously, but there's absolutely no doubt it's achievable with the right circumstances.
Make sure you go to Celler de Tapas, Plaça de la Universitat, 5, the food's brilliant, but watch your head on the steep stairs down to the bog, I knocked myself out in there once.
Chazz. Barcalona was, and probably still is, the pickpocket capital of Europe. Advice is to keep an eye on your bag at all time and never leave it unattended. Unless she's staying at home of course!
