I'll be busy most of this afternoon with an occasional glance at computer. But seems we have hit impasse. As I have said I think we need to aim for shoreline and quickest guaranteed way is by Hotel.

    HOTEL

Just because one of the vocals must be a baddy, I think, also vote

I think the hotel option is best.

If we just go backwards to the lake, we know (for now) that nothing new will happen because we have been there.

It doesn't clarify what part of the hotel we are going. If it is the gardens we can still go to the sea tomorrow anyway. If it is some new part then something new will happen. It will also be the first time we haven't been "away" when the bubble comes to attack.

So the hotel gives us options for new things to happen but the lake is just a wasted today until the day after. And even then that might still be wasted. When I first wanted to go to the sea I was thinking there might be a cove because we we're supposed to be working out clues. But at that time I didn't know 90% of the clues were only being told to the doctor/detective so I was #grasping a bit.

I'm trying to keep up with the thread whilst doing other things at the moment, so I'm not posting much, will be going soon to get myself some lunch and then I'll be back to semi involved for another couple of hours while I do some work and then I'll be back to super active some time early evening. Just putting my planned day schedule out there so I don't look like I'm not contributing! I've already avoided work too much this morning lol

    Conclusion:
Looking at voting is always tricky as guys often put a vote on their fellow mafia to keep their distance, especially if there's no pressure on that person.
So I only look at the votes if they're close or they put that person in the spotlight early on.

Most people were townies, the only people of interest that have died so far are:
7.Darren Peacocks Ponytail (DPP) - Acolyte
    12.Captainchaos - Guard
14.Albert's Chip Shop (ACS) - Acolyte

out of the 8 current players this is how they voted:

    1.RHC
    Day 1: No vote
    Day 2: Style
    Day 3: Afc
    Conclusion: (0/3)
    Could be Guards or Cult.

    3.astro
    Day 1: BobbyD
    Day 2: RHC
    Day 3: ACS (Acolyte)
    Conclusion: (1/3)
    Could be Guards or Cult.
Voted ACS but only right at the end when it was certain he was gone.

    4.Penfold's Adviser (Sebb)
    Day 1: DPP (Acolyte)
    Day 2: Valley
    Day 3: Tobes
    Conclusion: (1/3)
Could be Guards, unlikely to be Cult.
Second person to vote DPP so unlikely to jump on a fellow cultist so early and not try save him later.

    6.afcftw
    Day 1: Chaos (Guard)
    Day 2: No vote
    Day 3: ACS (Acolyte)
    Conclusion: (2/3)
Tricky one, small chance that he could be Guards or Cult.
Chaos had 2 votes vs 5 for DPP so not really in danger of lynch, but still a positive mark for afc that he voted for him. He may have been sneaky but I'd lean towards afc not being a guard.
Similarly to Astro the vote on ACS came quite late (second last) so not really conclusive, but I'd still lean towards afc not being a Cultist.
This was purely based on votes, taking afc's posts into consideration I have a strong town read on him and have had it for some time. (My judgement is dodgy though as you guys know)

    8.Less Hope Than Neville
    Day 1: Bod
    Day 2: Valley
    Day 3: Tobes
    Conclusion: (0/3)
    Could be Guards or Cult.
Claimed to be M.E. for town so you can form an opinion in that, this is purely the voting analysis.

    11.G'inho (Gerrez)
    Day 1: Neville
    Day 2: Astro
    Day 3: No vote
    Conclusion: (0/3)
    Could be Guards or Cult.

    13.Nolberto's Salsa Inferno
    Day 1: No vote
    Day 2: Style
    Day 3: No vote
    Conclusion: (0/3)
    Could be Guards or Cult.

    17.Sir Tennisball
    Day 1: DPP (Acolyte)
    Day 2: ACS (Acolyte)
    Day 3: ACS (Acolyte)
    Conclusion: (3/3)
Could be Guards, definitely not Cult.
Lead the voting for DPP on Day 1 and lead the voting on ACS Day 2 & 3.
ACS only on 1 vote on Day 2 but I made it early to try get him in the lynch picture, didn't just throw a vote on him late on.
Can't be Cult obviously. Like everyone else no votes for Guards so could be a Guard.
Obviously I know I'm town but just doing the vote analysis to have a fair comparison to others.

    Overall vote summary:
Based on the votes only (and ignoring posts etc.) I see it as follows:

Could be Guards or Cult (5):
    1.RHC
    3.astro
    8.Less Hope Than Neville
    11.G'inho (Gerrez)
    13.Nolberto's Salsa Inferno

Could be Guards or Cult but did vote against both (in non-critical circumstances) (1):
    6.afcftw

Could be Guards, unlikely to be Cult (2):
    tennisball and Sebb (Penfold)

Obviously you guys need to combine this info with everything else, but I found it interesting how some of the frontrunners for townie of the year have not made any significant votes for bad guys.

Haven't read this whole post yet but checked the bit about me lol. A couple of things to add, when I voted for Chaos he was on 2 votes and my vote put him into the joint lead with someone (off the top of my head bodanki), so I put him directly into the line of the lynch as opposed to just sitting a vote on him.

Also you voted for ACS first, I then voted for ACS before anyone else did. I removed my vote to put myself into the lead to be lynched to draw attention to how **** the town were being. People then started voting and I re-voted ACS. So I wasn't part of any jumping on him despite my final vote position.

Change my vote to Hotel based on what I now know about the person who suggested we return to the lake!

I'll vote RHC since I think he's dodgy and it ties things.

I think hotel is best for the reasons I posted. Ideally we can try a unanimous vote to see what that does.

  16. First things first, do you seriously need to put (Gerrez) next to my name so that you know who I am...? <laugh>

Secondly, I'm guilty because I got 0/3? How the **** does that work? To me, that suggests I have no idea who is who. Besides that, I only voted twice and both those players are still alive <doh>

I can't see mito allowing us to escape so soon after leaving the hotel, so even if both end up at the sea I'm sure they must be different areas with different options once we get there.I't crazy that a 6 day roundabout route to the sea via the lake has the same end result as choosing to go that route on day 2, that's too much like blind luck.

I vote Go to the lake.

  19. Why are you so convinced that the directions will see us escape? #readtherules

    Win conditions are:
    • The "Mafia" win when they are majority team left in game and no escape is possible or it is inevitable this will occur
    • The "Town" wins when all bad guys are wiped out and if they escape or it is inevitable both will occur.
    • Other roles may win the game also. Their win conditions are hidden.

The directions have nothing to do with the win conditions. Like in all other mafia games we've played, to win, we must eliminate the bad guys!

Investigation Of The Death Of ACS (Fourth Escapee)

I examined the body closer and was immediately drawn to the sagging neck. It seemed unusual that it was sagging so badly. On closer inspection I realised that his neck had been snapped and that this was the cause of death. The crucifixion was another smokescreen to hide the real cause of another death - another neck injury. I also noticed that although we had noticed a small bruise on his left cheek, the right side of his face shows signs of swelling. He had been struck by a left handed assailant.

At this stage I ignored the injuries caused by the left handed assailant as this seemed likely to cover old ground. Instead I examined why his shirt was inside out. On lifting his shirt I saw a very rough and fresh looking tattoo. It had obviously been inked onto the body since we arrived on the island. It was a tattoo of a decapitated skeleton, with the skull having it's mouth stuffed with something (matching the ceremonial killings).

There were also inked onto his chest the numbers of each prisoner. Each dead prisoner had his number scored out, as if ACS had been following the killings and recording them. Interestingly, none of last night's killings were recorded. This tells us that ACS did not witness these deaths and was killed before they took place, confirming that other Acolytes/Cult members exist. It was also interesting that the number 7 had been repeatedly scrubbed through with ink. Prisoner 7 was DPP. I didn't learn why this had been done though.

Most interestingly, the numbers tattooed onto his chest were missing one player. Player 17 was not marked onto the tattoo. Every player, from 1-23 is marked in the list of potential kills apart from player 17. His number is missing - obviously never intended for killing. When I finish looking at the tattoo I quickly pull the shirt back down. I then turned around and saw player 17 standing watching me examine the body of ACS.

Player 17 is linked to the acolytes. The lack of his number on the list leads me to conclude that he is the head of this group.
