Listening to talk sport this morning it was said that people who do bell ringing (campanology or campanualists or whatever) wanted it to be considered as a sport??? Friggen muppets!! How would you define a sport? I think it would be something that you have to change your clothing for, has a set of rules and is competitive. Anyone else got any other suggestions.......no bell ringers please
Aye - would points be scored on thickness and colour? Come on @Billy Cattermole we want answers... (no pictures though remember!!)
Well they get in an x & mash their fannies together in an attempt to scrub off each others hair. Crumbles sister would beat Merkel imo.
Competitive element. Requires extensive training and skill. People go on about Darts not being a sport but it is for me. The dedication It takes to be at the elite level is phenominal.
I'd say a sport has to be skilled and competitive, I don't really know what is involved in 'bell ringing' but if it's anything like when I was a kid, it's pressing people's door bells and running away, usually using some sort of hedge diving skills and avoiding rose bushes and fish ponds. It's definitely skilled and definitely competitive, as the last person over the hedge is usually caught by the homeowner and kicked into the fishpond.
Yes, it's not exactly elite sport but sport all the same. If Snooker and Darts can qualify why shouldn't they?
Darts and Pool are pub games, not sports, imo. All sports should be about entertainment, demanding of an incredibly high level of fitness and also, mentally very challenging.
