Off Topic Mafia game: The island

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by moreinjuredthanowen, Feb 8, 2016.

  1. Was any of the deaths poison? If so, couldn't the poison have been applied on a previous night?

I'll be giving my view on these two topics in my summary, just busy catching up.

But basically I agree with you on 19-22 potentially making kills but I disagree on the killings due to incorrect choices, will explain more in a bit.

I only investigate escapee deaths. Some of them have involved poison. However, the escapees are chosen by the group as a whole and not targeted by the acolytes. I haven't read anything in the descriptions that indicate poisonings in the other deaths.

I chose both the ones that led to the sea as well. It seems the most obvious place to escape to <ok> If we go back to the hotel, we'll hopefully be given the choice again. Mind you, it should be the same if we go back to the lake, but there was a pretty heavy body count last time <yikes>

  7. Just as well we didn't listen to him then (not that we ever do <whistle>)

Will reply to this in my summary too. Essentially think going back to the lake is the only viable option.

I replied in the middle of writing a post about remaining bad guys.

We have killings by acolytes last night and by mafia and we also have a warden and possible guard recruit left.

If there are still acolytes and mafia left then the numbers don't seem to add up.

We haven't killed any mafia and their have been clubbings every night. It's possible the guards are the mafia, but if we had killed all of the guards (as per MITO's recruitment post) then who did the clubbings the last two nights?

If the acolytes(s) killed two people last night and there is still a mafia team then that would leave too many bad guys. We'd already be outnumbered and would have lost.

Maybe the acolytes are the mafia and the clkubbings are an SK role?

Most likely to be Acolytes: Gerrez and RHC - both voted with ACS on the day we lynched him fairly unanimously.

Most likely to have been recruited if a recruit occurred: Afcftw, Nev, Tennis - all have given strong town reads and signals and seem to have been accepted as an unofficial town group for much of the game.

Most likely Warden - Penfold or Nolberto - both have gone fairly under the radar which is what you'd expect for someone who has an important role, especially if we think it's a solo role

I'm not saying the above is correct but looking at the situation we have that's what springs to my mind.

Edit: forgot Astro, he's probably in the most likely to be recruited pile

Gerrez and RHC although RHC claims to not really be following, so may have just copied Gerrez

If the warden has info on the living (we don't know for certain he does) I'd expect him to use it to appear town and be fairly vocal

I think it's highly unlikely they would all vote the same way knowing ACS was going to be exposed. Well RHC...maybe <laugh>

  18. The thing is, I realised yesterday (after jokingly voting for you) that this would be picke dup on at some point. ACS, RHC and I had all voted the same way in the lynch (counting my vote for you) and direction. To make it worse, we were the only three tog o for those options too!

As i said, do you seriously think I'd be that obvious? <laugh>

I don't necessarily mean they are both acolytes <laugh> just that both had done the same thing linking them to ACS

I also ahd a few strong town reads and am now doubting myself, so have reconsidered one of the dead certain town reads to be a scum read instead. Not going to act on it yet though...
