Yeh, I can see that aspect of it as well. I'd totally understand their position. Its just a shame if £2-3m was there for the take back and the sponsors said forget it, write it off. Morality and business practicalities rarely mix well together.
Think people are way over thinking it. The club will have asked their legal team one thing and one thing only. Is it financially viable to claim. Given the queue for Aj's money the answer will be no imo.
I think they'll have got together, with savoury pies, and a movie in the SAFC board room, probably something like "Waterworld" with Kevin Costner, most of them in grey suits, but some wearing navy, maybe Short was in his jeans, or cords... he's the boss, he can wear what he likes. He'd more than likely just had a hair cut, in the past three days so he didn't look unkempt when heading up such an important meeting. There'll have been somebody there who wasn't necessary, told to leave early before things got underway, possibly for eating monster munch too loudly, I'd say pickled onion but, it could have been flamin' hot. It's highly likely that there was some sort of sweet refreshment offered also, possibly a strawberry or raspberry number, cheesecake perhaps. Espresso machine in the corner was being used, but some turned up with Starbucks as they prefer the American/French styles of coffee to the Italian type. One of the sponsors will have been there, probably with or without a beard like a hipster listening to more than likely Missy Elliot on his beats headphones. Probably decided between them all, it's not for the best, then went for a swim.
1) They could have been jeans or leggings . . . . what's the difference . . . . 2) There's nee swimming pool at The Stadium, man . . . . that's Brunton Park
You've got a spy on the inside haven't you!! I bet every word of that is true! Overthinking it. Never!
I think more his own name dragged through the mud - he did take us for mugs big time - your business view of it is right - I was viewing from human angle for this sad sorry "mistake" he made - Sorry if crossed wires there
What about all the clubs who got relegated as a result of AJ and his lies? Was he not partly instrumental in you staying up? Perhaps they might have a claim given his lies?
I like your extreme, however not deluded, positivity towards the Sunderland. In truth, people like myself (who get grumpy and negative towards my club) have a lot to learn from you. A proper supporter
I'm genuinely not! I admire someone who can be so steadfastly positive regardless of what is going on. You have to have that belief that things will work out. This is something I cannot do.
He's probably on a mega concoction of weapons grade narcotics that keep his mood permanently elevated, the down side is, unfortunately for Gordon, his grammar tends to be less than perfect and nobody has a ****ing clue what he's saying.
