I know there's a massive rivalry between Arsenal and Spurs, but to be honest. It's great seeing both North London clubs battle it out for the title (along with Leicester). It's a brilliant season, full of twists and turns and I think the run in is going to get even better. Plus we all get to laugh at Chelsea for ****ing it up big time
I think it comes down to real time and what the ref can see. The Vardy one 'looked' like a pen, but the replay showed that he deliberately ran into Monreal's leg. Whereas the Toure second challenge 'looked' pretty straight forward as he was going for the ball, but the replay showed he was late and caught the man. The Sterling Pen though, didn't look like a pen either in real time, on the replay, in slow motion, or from any angle whatsoever. Because it was never a pen.
It's the most interesting title race in years. If I had to pick a winner I'd go with Arsenal. They have the better players and the biggest squad depth. Leicester and Spurs are a couple of injuries away from flatlining but they may get lucky and have an injury free run in. Arsenal's problem will always be the mental weakness of the manager which is reflected in the team and has been for years. I was pleased for Danny Welbeck today. I never much rated him as a striker, and doubt I will ever be proved wrong, but he's a good United lad and a player I'd still like in our squad.
Well I am just glad we had a sensible, brave and visionary referee that is not blinkered or blind like you
I'm the most impartial observer on this forum. I can't help that it winds you Spuds up, but somebody has to call it as it is
Just watched that Kante handball again on MOTD2, everytime you look at it, it gets worse. Definite pen for me.
Okay so after the thrills of the champions league midweek games it's time for the minnows of Europe to take part in the 'not quite good enough for the champions league' competition, the Europey Pot. Fiorentina v Spurs FC Augberg v Liverpool Midgetland v utd Can any of the English clubs progress to the next round ? And does anybody really care ?
That didn't take long to get a couple of bites I'm interested in a kind of, there's nothing else much on, kind of way. In the same way that I watched Leeds v Middlesbrough the other night
