No idea who the acolyte leader is but lets call him the cult leader for easy reference as that role appeared in a previous game.

We need to find him as he seemed to make 2 kills in one night, unless an acolyte made one kill and was then killed later that night.

Making multiple killings is super overpowered, and why did we not see any cult killings in previous nights?

One option i can think of is one of the inactive guys is the cult leader and was offline for the start of the game, so mito allowed him 2 kills to 'catch up'? Going to bed now but I'll try see who matches that time frame tomorrow.

Cant think of another reason why they would get 0 kills day 1, 0 kills day 2 and then 2 kills day 3. Mito said its definitely a new event so not something we saw before.

Any ideas? Its late here so my head is spinning.

I feel like today is theory day, time to come up with some ideas about teams, there's a high number of bad guys amongst a small number of players so we should be able to come up with some ideas at this point by reading back through the thread.

  3. Five kills in one night is a lot.

    Pure guessing...

    1 - escape / lynch
    1 - mafia
    1 - acolyte
    1 - vigilante type role?
    1 - dead board killing?

Ignoring the dead board kill, that's a lot of bloody teams left for just eight players <laugh>

Edit: actually thinking about it it's not is it. We know about the warden, we know there is a acolyte team and there is obviously a town team too.

Maybe the acolytes are the "mafia", the main bad guys. They have multiple innocent kills. Maybe some connection to the dead.

Maybe the warden/guards are town aligned. The objective is to kill the acolytes. The separate objective of escape/no escape decides the warden vs prisoners battle.

So the lynching is a competition against acolytes and the path is a competition against the warden/guards.

  5. No way the warden is town aligned with that message about recruiting imo. Unless someone is playing silly dicks <laugh>

    Guards could be though.

Looking at the player list and thinking what jumps straight out at me, and its that ACS was a bad guy and RHC who was inactive the whole time, came on briefly and voted both votes the same way as ACS. Hopefully I'm able to find some better links than that looking through the thread lol but that's the first one I've seen!

Right, I think it's time to roll the dice as this has been an unmitigated disaster so far. We have reached the stage where there is nothing to lose. Kind of like being behind in the 95th minute and sending your goalie up for a corner. This is a risk with potentially disastrous results, rarely works, but what the hell you do it anyway to feel like you're doing something!!!

I am the town medical examiner - like a Quincey M.E. on steroids. I have two roles within the game. The first is one that I will continue to have now that I am making this public. The second will now be restricted in how I use it because of making this public.

The first part of my role is that I get to examine the dead bodies of people who have tried to escape in the hope I can find out clues about what is going on. The second part of my role is that I get to choose someone to protect each night from death - basically they become invincible to anything other than the lynch (escape). I will now need to use that on myself each night now that I have made known who I am. I had avoided going public before now in case any other roles became public. With the numbers the way they are though it appears to be the right time to take that chance and lose the ability to protect anybody else.

I will post my findings on each death separately so that each post doesn't become mega long. The investigations go in stages. Each bit I work out gives me the chance to investigate the next part of the mystery. If I complete the full investigation into a death then I win a bonus for the team. I partially solved the mystery on days 1 and 3. I fully solved the mystery on day 2. I did receive a reward for that, but sharing it publicly at this stage would help the mafia more than it helps us.

  8. Is this a good time to say I'm in a meeting again at 11am tomorrow morning? I should be on before and after though.

The two beheadings must have been the same team (acolytes)
Obviously the ghosts are the dead
The beatings to death by the warden/guards
The gunshot is a town vigilante
The escape attempts are by various famous horror monsters

Not town aligned, anti-acolyte and anti-escape

The point of a prison is to keep people trapped but not dead

Nope. I protected Astro on Day one, AFC on Day Two and myself last night (half expecting Valley to take revenge for his lynching and for the dead to kill me).

My jumping about earlier today, accusing as many people as possible of being suspicious, and also insulting the dead was in the hope of attracting their kill attempts onto me. It didn't work.

Day One Astro was the one person who seemed to be looking at the clues most of all and that is something i thought we would need throughout the game (still do).
Day Two AFC started doing the same. I also had a feeling from the day's posts that AFC could be targeted (gut feeling).
