Gareth Southgate at the match last night. Is he under 21 manager.Who would he have been checking up on?Understand he was also at the Burnley match.
I couldn't agree more with the first paragraph but I don't think the criticism of Huddlestone is particularly fair. Bruno absolutely dominated Clucas and Robbo, he was immense and a player I'd love to see play for us. Huddlestone was taken off after 60 minutes because Bruce was concerned about his ability to play two games in three days, the same reason Snoddgrass was taken off, he said normally he wouldn't have started them but didn't want to change the side that finished well against Blackburn, whilst you can understand his reasoning in hindsight it probably wasn't the right decision.
Bruno had his number all night, we should have focused on attacking down the right instead because Dave was getting some joy there. Its not often I've seen our left attack completely nullified but Brighton did it with a single player last night.
Only Akpom and Hayden would be of interest from our squad. March of Brighton is eligible for the 2017 champs and has one U21 cap (but wasn't playing - EDIT he's out for the season).
He wasnt and shouldnt be for a pro athlete who's hardly over worked this season. He was just incredibly poor.
I disagree, I think he knocked the ball about well and gave us a good outlet in a crowded midfield. I thought Jake was less effective, I don't care how much he runs, he couldn't find either Diame or Hernandez; 3 or 4 times he tried to find them or vice versa and it went to pot.
