Surely within the first 10-15 minutes Bruce would have realised they were playing 4-5-1 and should have changed his tactics to possibly 3-5-2, especially with them only playing one up front. He had the players on the bench to do this. His job is to read the situation and adapt accordingly.

He almost never changes to counter the situation we're in, he just sits back and hopes something will magically change.

Could have stuck Maguire on for Clucas and had a real go with a 3-5-2.

He limited himself with the bench though, having Meyler/Hayden on there, as well as Akpom/Diomande, wasted bench options.

I was wondering do you know if Maloney is injured, he is the player who could have made a difference

Nobody's injured as far as I'm aware, I don't know why he wouldn't be on the bench, he's a player with a bit of guile and he's capable of changing a game.

Too much rubbish written on here about formation and we should have changed it. Brucey is only protecting the players saying he was surprised with their formation.
We didnt impose ourself on them, simple as that.
Clucas looked **** scared of their RB the whole game, he barely even faced the opposition goal or the player. Nervous and weak. He should have been hooked and snodgrass switched to the left. Things didnt come off but at least Snoddy was trying things.

Huddlestone picked by some in the motm!! ****ing hell. He was hooked on 60 mins. Cos he's immobile and completely bottleless. He was **** scared of Sidwell. Huge mistake by Bruce to pick him. We needed to harass and niggle them knock them out of their stride. Only Jake did that.
The players will have been well prepared to face either set up Brighton played. They just didnt perform.
Robbo started really well, one peach of a cross. His head went down after he made a couple of mistakes though.

The Urban Dictionary definition of 'offey' doesn't work in the sentence in which you've used it.

In fact, it's a description of you. <laugh>

Yeah, I had the same thoughts about Maloney too. Snodgrass should definitely have been rested IMO, and as others have said, it was crying out for Meyler. But we're still top and we have to hope we capitalise the chance against Ipswich

Those of you putting Robertson in top three must have been at a totally different game to me. No runs,no overlaps & kept giving the ball away.

    Dave by a mile.

    Jake.

    Dawson.

The whole team looked jaded especially Snoddy, Abel and Diame. Thudd was the wrong choice I would have started Hayden. Elmo should have come on earlier.
