Steve Bruce told Burnsy both pre/post match last night that he will make 11 changes to last night(subject to fitness of course). Jakupovic Taylor Maguire Bruce Tymon Elmohamdy Meyler Maloney Aluko POWELL Diomande. Who makes the bench and who does not will be of more interest to me. The new GK Dusan Kuciak may be one. I expect Dawson - Livermore - Diame - Snodgrass at least to be given the weekend off. I hope a couple more of the kids get a bench place. Greg Olley and Max Clark deserve a chance. imo.
He will and has already confirmed as much to Burnsy. I wonder what sort of team Wenger will start with as they have both eyes fixed already on Barcelona next Tuesday and not forgetting a massive chance of winning the PL now that they beat the Foxes on sunday. Hopefully Gooooners minds will be elsewhere. At least our nemesis Santi Gazorla wont be playing.
have the same old discussion every year, and even tho its never going to happen id love us to keep a strong team and have go.. Arsenal will be thinking of Barcelona and I think we would have half a chance with a strong team. I hate the not bothering about the cup attitude, ive seen us in the premier league before but never seen us win a cup so I know which id prefer.
Could well be those XI players, but with Elmo at RB, Taylor holding in midfield, Aluko on the right and Maloney on the left.
True. Send them out with no pressure and to enjoy themselves. Hull City cannot lose whatever happens.
If we started those players in those positions against Arsenal, I'd put £50 on us losing by more than five goals. Fortunately, we won't.
I didn't say he wouldn't start, I just said I doubted he would, he's obviously going to be involved one way or another.
Powell is starting. Steve Bruce confirmed it last night. The thing nobody really knows is just how strong Arsenal will be ? Other than Ospina in goal and possibly Danny Welbeck upfront,,, what will be the Arsenal starting eleven ? Will Wenger put Barcelona and the PL above the FAC ??? twt...
Looks possible. If it was that line up it would suit me fine. Gibbs was out injured against the Foxes and almost certainly Bellerin Mertesacker will be starting against Barca. Diomande needs to put himself about. Be all over the german like a cheap suit.
Bruce confirmed Powell would play, though he didn't actually say he'd start, he also just said he'd make changes, rather than he'd make eleven changes... “Nick will definitely play,” “To be fair to Nick, he came here with a bit of an injury but he has now trained for ten days. “When you look at a game like we had on Tuesday night against Brighton, Nick could be just the type of player we’re looking for and he will have a big part to play in the coming weeks. I’ve told him that. He’s versatile and can play as a striker or as a midfielder and I’m sure he can give us that bit of impetus. “He’ll definitely play on Saturday, as will all of the ones who haven’t been playing recently. “Making changes is the only option I’ve got. After Arsenal, we play again on Tuesday and then Friday so I have to make sure we’re fresh enough to compete in those games as well.” http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...t-at-arsenal-2960189.aspx#4CUgS0XepYqSFIZa.99
Assuming 11 changes Jakupovic Elmo Bruce Maguire Tymon Meyler Taylor Aluko Powell Maloney Diomande Although I'd be tempted to start Huddlestone given we have Hayden fit for Tuesday. Then drop wither Tymon or Taylor to the bench with the other playing left back.
That is one and the same. But Bruce did confirm that Powell will start and that 11 changes will be made on Saturday subject to fitness. You obviously did not hear his pre - match interview last night for starters.
Will Theo Walcott not be popping his head out of Andy Dawson's pocket for his annual run out against the Tigers?
When we get to the final, the ticket allocation process should put people who have at any point this season uttered the phrase 'concentrate on the league' or 'distraction' as bottom priority.
Id love to see us win anything. 50 years has been a long time between drinks. We really should be 10 points clear by now and put a strong team out for this one
When we last played Arsenal, they had a terrible injury crisis and were way off the title race, Wenger didn't really have much choice as it was their only chance of winning a decent trophy. This time, I imagine they'll want to protect their title ambitions and we might see a few youngsters and fringe teamers. Whatever they have I think will be too strong for us, but at least the fringe team players will get a run out.
