If we learnt how to attack with more gusto, we could have taken all three points. Why are we so slow on the up take to move the ball forwards? At times our most attacking play is a back pass. 'Dave' was deservedly man of the match, too many passengers Snodgrass, Diame, Huddlestone and despite being a big fan of his - Clucas was poor tonight. A point isn't the worst result, but bloody hell City need to get street wise to teams coming and setting up for a point.

Aye, we're going to have to pick our game up if we want to have the best goal difference in the league...

Credit to Brighton who came for a point and got one. They filled midfield and made it very difficult for us, though if any side was going to win it, it was us. Draw isn't the end of the world, move on to the next one.

Does my nut in reading how we struggle and need to do better.

We played a side who are decent and came to draw. We struggled to break them down. We drew.

    Move on.

We still (yes, still) have no right to beat every team every week. Sometimes you just appreciate it was a frustrating match and deal with it.

Fair enough but what about quality, tactics, effort, spirit? Do you think they did well on these fronts and so they don't deserve consideration?

I can't get to matches so am grateful to be able o read peoples opinions who do Both optimists and pessimists. Not sure what would be left to discuss if we just shrugged our shoulders and "moved on"

It's therefore the job of the team and the manager to have the nous and impetus to be able to break down teams or at least to try and break them down when they do come and park the proverbial bus. We didn't tonight - Brighton weren't brilliant either. We pumped a lot of balls high into their centre half Dunk. After 7 or 8 attempts with it not working - we should have been trying something else.

It was like a training match at times. Emphasis on mustn't lose than let's try to win it. Fortune really does favour the brave.

They did Kemps, on numerous occasions.

    Effort and spirit seemed ok.
    Quality and tactics were poor.
First time I've been for a while, and I remember now why I stopped going (or at least one of the reasons). Typical Bruce performance - ponderous, overly cautious, negative, and lacking in the final third.
I'm with GLP above; 3 points there for the taking, but 2 thrown away.
It was dour, which shouldn't be the case with what he's got at his disposal and the money he's had.
Great that we're top of the league; maybe that's sufficient for some at the end of the day. Hopefully Bruce manages somehow to stumble us across the line. But on last nights evidence, I remain firmly #BruceOut

Brighton came off a game against Bolton where their defence was quite shaky.

That point would have been acceptable if we'd taken one against Burnley. We didn't.

We're ****ing up all the big games. Brighton home and away, Derby at home, Burnley away. Plenty of those to come for you sympathisers to say this £60m squad doesn't hve a right bla bla bla.

As things stand, we'll be lucky to finish in the auto's. We'll probably draw with Wednesday, lose to Boro and Derby. Probably another acceptable loss to a very good and resilient Bolton side (remember they were in the premier league 10 years ago).

Fairly anonymous. Annoyingly threw himself to the floor on the odd occasion. Typically French.

Waved his imaginary card too and stifled any attacks he was involved in.

If there are no decent outlets forward in a crowded out midfield, surely passing across the back or even backwards is preferable to relinquishing possession with a hopeful forward punt. A very tight game as anticipated.

The most notable thing he did all game was take about half an hour to leave the pitch when he was subbed.

    Time wasting surrender monkey.
