The FA Cup rules state: "In all matches preceding the Semi-Finals, the Visiting Club shall have the right to claim up to 15% of all accommodation for which tickets are issued providing these tickets are in a fully segregated area" Surely this figure is similar to what we allow for all games.
I'm sure I have heard it said that in the EPL away fans are offered 10% up to a maximum of 3,000. Can anyone confirm?
Unless otherwise agreed by the Board or between the Clubs, each Home Club shall make available to its Visiting Club 3,000 tickets (or, if the capacity of the Home Club s ground is less than 30,000, such number of tickets as is equal to 10 per cent. of its ground capacity) PL rules.
I think a good solution would be to increase the Graham Taylor stand by the addition of a basement Put the away support down in it. To get around the restricted view problem some large TV screens would do nicely with no sound but justed piped Elton John's greatest hits to make them feel involved and of course if we ever where to be drawn against that team from up the M1 in the cup it would serve to show them their rightful place which of course is.... beneath us!!!
The seats nearest the front and toward the Vic Rd end are pretty well in the basement! (Had to sit down there once. Dreadful view.) Give them those. I remember an end of season game against Bournemouth when they were given the Rookery half of the LGT. Think it was a promotion year.
