Technically no. It's an extremely modified version of android. Runs android but only in the kindle fire exclusive kind.

So you'll get some apps on the android app store that work fine and others don't work at all.

 

Showbox and Navi are great for movies and TV.

Doubtful then. Suppose you could give it a go. It's an easy download and there are tutorials all over youtube that will explain how to put the best add ons on it.

 

XBMC was the original name of Kodi they changed it when they upgraded the system last year.

 

Which is why I asked Pud if it works ya maddie. I've already got a firestick with kodi downstairs but wanted to find out if its workable on kindle.

 

Worth a punt for that money maybe? But I have a month to find one so I'll do a bit of research before committing.

I bought a droidstick and loaded it myself about 18 months ago. These fully loaded droid boxes and firesticks are a comparatively new thing. I suppose it's like anything else you buy off ebay. You pay your money and take your chances.

 

Aye, same. Half the time the picture they show on ebay is completely different from what you receive. It's pretty poorly regulated.

I mind when I first bought Jips book and reviewed it. The ****s on here decided to check my history on amazon and found a review for this piece of **** magnifying glass I had for inspecting THC glands on my plants. Left a ****ing rotter of a review and the **** offered me a fiver and replacement to take it down.

I considered a stick but I'd rather hard line ethernet my box than use wireless.
