Apparently Cardiff have taken ***an on a weeks trial after leaving Huddersfields trial. I still think he could have offered something to the squad this year not in the first 11 but certainly in the squad. I still think we lack a little depth in the wide areas. Does anyone know if he was on a big contract? Anyway as to Most former Tigers who helped us reach them heady heights I wish him all the best!
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...ial-to-midfielder-craig-***an-91466-29118559/ Their going to be scoring loads this year :S
Craig is his own worst enemy. Needs an anger-management course but won't go on one. If given the choice between scoring a goal for his club or picking a fight with an opponent I firmly believe that he would pick a fight every time. Had a bit of pace and some talent too but never played to, or reached, his full potential (imo) which was a shame. Not too late for him if he can knuckle down and pull his head in.
He had no real end product, he couldn't really score much and his crossing ability was pretty poor. A few weeks a go Cardiff fans where thinking he would of being a very good signing for them, but i just don't see it personally. Maybe for a bottom half championship club, but injuries have taken their toll.
never liked ***en one bit, i thought he got much underserved praise just because of his pace, his end ball was never really there and he certainly was not a striker, a role he seemed more increasingly pushed into (although that’s not his fault). Seemed like he had a terrible attitude and TBH in a similar way to Jimmy I very much hope he leaves the club. Devitt is much better cover for either wide position, ***en is a liability and strikes me as the type of guy who would bring down morale.
I know he doesn't have the best end product but tenacity and the odd nasty streak can often be a real attribute to a footballer, don't forger the first perm season it was ***an that set Folan up for the winning goal against fulham. Granted konchesky helped by been crap but ***an never gave up the chase, the same when he scored against Bolton at the end of that season so all in all yes not best but I'd always rather okay with someone like that than against.
I prefer to watch a trier who runs his arse of for the team and shows some bite than someone who will go unnoticed all game until the ball is at his feet. Although saying that I do like the new found youth out wide, granted Brady is only on loan but from what I have seen of the friendlies so far (videos online and watched the full Liverpool game on sky) we look to be sorted out wide and if injuries occur in this area then Dudgeon could move forward and Daws at LB of even a change of formation to accommodate more centre mids and have Rosie and Dudgeon as wing backs .
i dont think that Bellamy will be at Cardiff this season. CB looks like he is prepared to sit out the season and take his 90k a week for doing nowt. Double the wage of Bullard. As for ***an ? i thin k that shows just how desperate they are if they take him on permantly with a contract offer. ***an and Parkin up front eh ? lmao Interesting that Gerrard only played 30secs @ bournmouth last sat and is not in there squad for tonights game @ yeovil. wonder if he is injured. ? i think both leeds and cardiff will struggle this season.
With everyone suggesting Ayala is signing etc....what's the chances of Gerrard's lack of preseason so far due to us showing an interest in signing him? (just a suggestion as i am more than happy with our defence so far)
i am sticking with Ayala. As for Gerrard i think that he will stay @ Cardiff, run his contract out and go where he wants next summer on a Free. Noway will anyone pay 3 million for him. The only way i could ever see GERRARD back at city is if Cardiff want Oli and will do a straight swap.
Craig ***an on trial at Cardiff ? What for? Impersonating a footballer Seriously, Craig was a good player for us in L1, but he's not championship class. Just look at players in other teams in similar roles ( including ours - Stewart / Koren ) he's nowhere near comparable
In fairness before we sold him to Derby the season Derby went up he was our best player. Also, before Guthrie injured him he was having a good season in the Prem. He's decent for the Championship.
