I know he cost 3 Charlie Austins, but even Charlie Austin is worth more than one Charlie Austin. I bet there are a few teams struggling at the moment who would pay 12 million for Shane (not that he's for sale).

You're quite right, I'm being a bit harsh. Mostly I remember it was the £ we paid as raising a few eyebrows, mine included.

All players do have flaws, it actually makes me appreciate them more on the whole*. Proof I guess as Benali remains my favorite Saints LB, his effort and passion did it for me. Oh and that header.

All the Italian restaurants I ever gone to, and ordered spaghetti, have made it badly. Sometimes appallingly so. Then again, I look at the efforts of celebrity chefs, when they say, this is my/the authentic spaghetti, and you find yourself shouting, no No NO!

They put herbs with it, or leave it too wet or do loads of other rubbish, like woefully under cooking it like that's how the locals eat it. No they don't.

Spaghetti is really dead simple. Yet they still **** it up.

 

Being ½ Italian, Bolgnese is a bit of a favourite with me. The nearest recipe I have seen to "how my mamma made it" is Gino D'Acampo's recipe in his 'Taste of the Sun' book.
