This bloke is a german long jumper who had his right leg amputated around the knee joint. He now wants to compete against able bodied long jumpers. Question is, is he at an advantage with his springy prosthetic leg or not? Personally I think he is at an advantage and that he should not be allowed to compete, what's everyone else's thoughts?
He's not able bodied, say no, he shouldn't be able to compete as it wont be a level playing field. This is what the Paralympics is designed for.
Same as Oscar Pistorius for me, who should never have been allowed to compete at the Olympics. It's a no from me.
I'd say he should have to put a shoe on the end of it. The springy thing isn't gonna give him much of an advantage, but the fact he could get a lot closer to the strip before a jump with his prosthetic piece of kit, will be a determining factor imo.
Only in Shooting... Na, he did mate. In the 2012 Olympics, I always disagreed with the decision though.
