To be fair, Klose did win a world cup at 36 though, scoring in the semi-final.

I'm guessing he'll think twice before celebrating with the fans again.
He might never score again- just in case.

Are we all honorary PSG fans tonight? If PSG win handsomely it will be wonderful to wipe that smug smile off the faces of the CHAV fans!!

I'd back any foreign team over the English ones (aside from Liverpool of course) playing in Europe. None of this patriotic, support the English team **** for me.
They're all rivals and why would I want a rival team to do well?

Just depends who the teams are..Hate Chelsea non plussed about PSG...

Like the German teams, not a fan of the Italian teams..

Weirdly I have kind of reversed my position on the Barca/Real thing. Used to prefer Real but generally haven't liked them during the Ronaldo era (not because of him either)

Don't really mind Arsenal but obviously United....well. City? Again non plussed...

    Exactly my thoughts.

Typically the type that always want English teams to win are the part time fans in my experience. Any real follower/fan could never cheer a rival on in any game surely? Or maybe I'm missing the point?

I would be pretty neutral toward anyone outside of Man Utd, City, Arsenal, Everton, Spurs or Chelsea though. E.g. if Leicester qualify for the CL next season, which looks likely at the moment, I won't be backing the foreign team against them, I just won't be bothered.

Dunno..think if we aren't a direct Rival at the time I don't mind (bar United and Chelsea).

So if we aren't in the CL next year and Leicster are? I'll wish them well...Think (prob because I'm not from the City) I'd cheer on Everton in a final if we weren't in the comp.

Really applies only to the CL in our "out" years though..

    Good point tbf.

I'm not actually sure where I'd stand with that one! I can't see them getting past the group stages anyway, purely down to experience. But still a good point and it probably proves my own fickle stand on football <laugh>
