A very good report...if you omit the bit where he eulogises over how good Ream was yesterday (he was off sick Antii, I think you mean Burn the 8foot giant) http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/42019/ I think he has got the fundamental flaw in our tactics correct, which has not been mentioned before on here. Somebody had watched Fulham, and noticed they have a "weak-in-distribution" keeper, and not good on the ball defenders...so we used our front 4 to press their keeper very very high...it worked a couple of times at the start, but they readjusted (or had more brain power) than us and by-passed that. We didn't leaving huge gaps in front of our defence
Fulham flooded the midfield with 5 and sometimes 6 players. We had Luongo, with two wide men who don't/won't/can't defend and Toszer who is simply awful. He doesn't mention how utterly terrible Toszer's dead ball delivery was either. JFH got it badly wrong and should have added another central midfield player after 20 minutes.
You had a team that played three centre backs so in effect 5 midfielders Our tactics was to lump high balls to one tall German Shepard and a jack Russell against the three Giants The ball by passing our midfield who held no shape and in 5 minutes were 15 metres apart So at half time after exposing our defence to 7 onto 4 he takes off the German Shepard and puts on a player clearly not fit and that made the jack Russell run around even more The Fulham back three went on holiday they could of taken one off IMO Fulham had time on the ball so much so at one point I counted seven occasions when a Fulham player had three passes on JFH really showed exactly how far away he is tactically He also in post match reports blamed his players who were following orders Any 4 man defence in football cannot cope with 7 while the rest stood still Phillips and Hoilett looked focussed on going one way only and exposed the entire team Toszer's delivery on set pieces was awful Players effort not at question IMO Professional to the end but the system was awful and chances to change it were ignored That's how I saw it
