As average as City have been, they're still only 3 points behind us as it stands. That can easily change in the next league fixture. It's important to keep winning.
It wasn't a penalty for your opener, but I guess you could argue Yaya Toure should have been sent off much earlier on. On the balance of play, City didn't deserve to lose that. But it's irrelevant now because you still won a massive, massive game. The north London derby could be huge in terms of the title race now.
TBH we should let Spurs win, whenever they win the reverse fixture at their ground, their whole season begins to collapse and implode right after, we are their cup final, they build up a great run of form just for that game, their final. . Spurs are doing great, but they have a very very nasty April and have to play United, Chelski, Stoke, and Liverpool. 3 of those are away at the Britania, Anfield, and Stamford Bridge, places they have generally done poor in.
Can not disagree with that except to say...**** off and stop spoiling my night In my life time we have been seriously in the a title race come late February. .. so I am going to enjoy every second of it until we find a new imaginative way to bollocks things up!
I'm usually confident at The Emirates (even though our last 2 results have been draws), but never at WHL. Hoping you drop points before the big game! Heard Kane's injured, by the way. How serious is it?
This will be the best NLD in a very long time. As much as us fans don't want Spurs to do well, it is good that they are. It makes games between us much more competitive and will bring the passion back again. I think this is the biggest game between us since Wenger started managing us, as the result has so much riding on it. I'm really looking forward to the game!
Our record at Stamford Bridge is lamentable, Anfield not much better, but the Britannia we have won 4 of the last 5, I do agree that April looks tricky but at some point the law of averages says we must end that awful record at the bridge at some point - so why not this year
I hear you, it's what we Arsenal fans have been also saying about some of our abysmal records, and then unfortunately, the law of average didnt arrive yet, .
TBH by the law of average we're also due a premier league win at WHL, , it's been a while, the last time I remember us winning there in the league was in the 2007-2008 season 3-1.
The problem is though that Chelsea seem to be finally getting it together now. If you'd played them there 2-3 months ago I'd have backed you to batter them, but it's a different story now. Also Stoke have massively improved this season and now with Imbula added to their MF along with Shaqiri, they are a much better side than in recent seasons. We have some tricky ties too. We still have to go to OT, the Etihad and to WHL, so it's really difficult to predict who will drop more points out of Arsenal and Spurs. It has to be said though, that's it's great that it's the two North London teams battling for the title this season instead of the ****y chavs
OT and Etihad are very winnable games, especially the Etihad, City are far from the invincible force you expected them to be at home, the Etihad is hardly a fortress, and then well United are United, nothing spectacular, home, or away.
