Danny Rose MOTM. Gave it absolutely everything he had and barely put a foot wrong all game. Probably the best I've ever seen him play for Spurs.

Thought Dembele had a great game today to be MOTM, but Rose certainly was very good. But there again, there were no passengers on that bus today!!
I had all kinds of confidence in Lamela when he was through here. This is ****ed up. What happens when I'm starting to feel like that? When Dembele is one of our most important players? When Rose is a very solid Prem player, when Dier is turned into a crucial midfielder for us? When some kid from the lower leagues sets the Prem alight and promptly does the same for England? When we get six fully deserved points off City? When suddenly, and with little overt overhaul, our defence is the best in the league and for once we have a great (the best) goal difference? Oh - and when a few of the other top teams are in some form of turmoil? What happens then? I do believe Spurs get an excellent chance to win the league. Oh - and in goal Lloris makes his obligatory worldie to save the points for us again. On the substitutions? I just don't doubt Poch any more. The commentators were talking crap about bringing on Carroll to "stiffen things up". WTF? Obviously it was more to do with adding energy and better possession. And even when Lamela came on for Alli I wasn't too fussed. This is despite the fact that honestly I see Alli as a clearly superior natural footballer than Lamela. But - and this is the heart of it - Poch has worked his magic on Lamela. So I know that he is going to put ludicrous amounts of energy in, I know he's gonna chase everything, get his face in the way of shots if necessary, be unselfish and disciplined (I love the way he went for the corner at the end - not the sort of Flash-Harry stuff that he was bought for and what he felt had got him success at Roma but now he's added so much to his game purely by listening to his manager, sheer effort and a sort of team ethic that Poch has created in spades (though to be fair Lamela always looked to have a first-rate attitude). We have the best team in the country. (Has anyone beside Anderlecht looked worthy winners against us?). Henry pointing out that no-one went over to celebrate the goal with Iheanacho. We're so much better than that. If I were a footballer I would absolutely love to play in this Spurs team. It must be bloody brilliant to know how much your team-mates have your back and understand what they're all doing, brimming with 100% belief that the boss knows what he's doing. Thought Rose was brilliant today - that brilliant little bit before the ball went in for Eriksen's shot in the second half where the ball just kept being won back by him, even as he's throwing himself around and ending up on his arse he just bounced straight up, made it difficult again, found something to give again - it epitomised why poch is able to get an extra 20% out of all these players. For weeks I've been meaning to start a thread asking who people thought would win out of a Redknapp 11 and this 11 (subsequently HITC did a sort of version of it but not very well). For a long time I favoured the Redknapp 11 (just). Bale, King, VDV, Modric etc - just felt there was more natural talent in that side. But now I think that not only is it likely that this team would beat a Redknapp 11 I think there's a bit of a chance they would thrash them. It'd be a hell of game either way! **** - even if Kane gets injured I have faith that Poch will effortlessly show us that Son was one of the best centre forwards in the league all along. I actually can't think of a single player at Spurs who I don't think has a hell of a lot to offer the team. **** me I love Poch.
