It doesn't bother me whether they fly the tricolour over local Scottish councils or not, I just don't see any reasoning behind it. Mindy's argument that Ireland and Scotland are 'friends' is ****e. Scotland, as part of the UK, was 'friends' with Russia, France and the US during both world wars (of which Ireland rebelled during one and remained neutral during the other) but there's no reason the fly the Star Spangled Banner, French tricolour or the Hammer and Sickle flag on the days of their revolutions. Celebrating another country's historical events, especially ones were your own country was the opponent, is pointless.
