Not a good cross from Milner... just needed to fire that low across the box. Nice effort from Sturridge though... like the fact mixing up our corner. WE never deliver a decent one and never score from them so might as well try something different.
he's an embarrassment of a keeper, and conceding goals directly from corners and getting beat at your near post and going 800 minutes or whatever it was without a save or conceding from the first shot on goal in every game for the last 6...you can't help but laugh can you?
I reckon first half v city was much better than this.... this is poor in cm for me. Coutinho and starring a class above. The rest of our lot would all fit in with villa on this showing so far. Firmino giving it away constantly then chasing to win it back. Every time I've seen him not playing no 9 he's done the same.
This is what we bought Firmino for. FFS, we need to have a word with the Russian athletic confederation and find out what to give Studge to keep him fit, as we're just not one quarter of the team without any of that front three. Hope they play on Thursday and we don't use Bumteke.
Took us a while to get going but now playing with confidence. Firmino been the best player so far. Front 3 have hardly played together but you can see how well they link up with one another.
Good stuff,we have more fluidity now although Villa's crapness has to be part of it. We can score 5 or 6 here if we want
