    What's your favourites?

Are you the adventurous Hawaiian ham and pineapple type (warm fruit is just plain wrong by the way)?
Does the devil inside of you come out and do you like to spice it up (how hot can you go)?
Or are you a boring bastard plain cheese kinda guy/gal?

I've become a bit of a dab hand at the home made variety, making the dough from scratch as well. I like to make up a nice batch of spicy beef mince, make my own pizza sauce and have spicy beef, mushrooms, pepperoni and hot and sweet red jalapeno's. Goes great in a calzone as well :)

Anyone else got any interesting combinations?

Bugger, I want pizza now :-(

Mexican Bolognese is my favourite - lots of peppers, no mushrooms or onions.

I also love curry Pizza - Chicken Madras is amazing.

Two of the best pizza's that I have ever had were at a place called Mama's Pizza on Amsterdam in Avenue in NYC, closely followed by a Mexican chicken ranch from BC Pizza in Cadillac Michigan. Piccolino's in Amsterdam also do an amazing pizza. Best in the UK for me is hands down Donatello's on Fowler Street in South Shields. Haven't had one in nearly two years from there since I moved to Stanley.

Turkish Pizza which is called Pide.
There is one with finely minced mutton lamb on with herbs and spices which is orgasmic.
If making my own pizza I love a standard thin base with a dozen ghost chillies on with spicey beef and some franks hot sauce.

Mutton? That's disgusting. I've never had mutton in my life. Smells like wet old dog.

It's the pizza base that's important. It's got to be thin and crisp in the customary Italian manner - get that right and almost any topping will do. Preferably keep it simple: mozzarella , tomato and prosciutto with a little chilli oil.

nowt worse than a soggy pizza. a one which soaks into the box and almost rips through it through shear weight and grease. A one where you're about to take a bite and the entire topping (including cheese) slides off and you're left holding a pizza base with a slight tomatoey topping!

A pizza for me normally has to be hot. They normally would be called a Hot Shot or Volcano etc. These often include Bolognese, Pepperoni, Jalapenos, Onion, Peppers. I often get kebab meat as an extra topping.

It's got to be thin and crispy
With lots of mozzarella, tomatoes, black olives and anchovies.
None of that stuffed crust nonsense and no fruit, fruit is just wrong
Unless you class tomatoe as fruit, which of course it is.

Null Point for putting an e on the end of tomato, anchovies and olives are just awful as well and have no place in food let alone on a pizza.

Anchovies are lovely, but only the fresh stuff you get. Wouldn't have it on a pizza though.

Gotta be proper meat feast.. or a simple peperoni with lots of cheese!

Thin and crispy for me as well <ok>

Anyone that puts pineapple on a pizza needs to be sent to some land far far away never to be seen again.

Add in jalepeno peppers and you have the holy trinity. (Not just in Pizza either... works everywhere (cake/cereal might be pushing my theory to destruction))
