Two of my fellow Parish Councillors are called Dave, so we distinguish between them by calling them both Rodney...

Odd how people perceive the world differently. I think we're in a golden age for comedy.

The funniest shows now are panel shows and stand ups rather than comedy series.

Woman and toddler rescued from sinking car in Amsterdam by 4 bystanders who dived in. In this country the police aren't allowed to do such rescues unless properly trained. Luckily normal human beings don't think like that.

Turkey now bombing Kurds in Syria. **** is getting scary. I can see this ending up being either WW3 or a Middle Eastern war. So much can now go wrong with so many countries involved.

Yeah, you thought that the next nine months to a year of American politics would be nuts prior to this? Now throw in a SCOTUS nomination with a GOP-controlled Senate and a President in his final months, at a time when the court is finely-balanced ideologically.

Hate this forum going off line again....I sit looking at my computer thinking have I done something or even worse do I have to do something. I was forced to look at SaintsWeb....though even they seem rational at the moment. Problem is that they won't let me comment because they are yahoo-ist....won't deal with anyone with a yahoo e-mail because we are dangerous (I presume). :)

Will be interested in seeing what actually happened, as I've been on that road a number of times and there should have been ample warning of the bridge opening/closing. Still, tiredness, unusual road conditions, whatever, could easily be to blame. Absolutely tragic and RIP to the band and condolences to their families and friends.
True - it's a dangerous year to be a musician. Lucky I'm an awful guitarist and no musician by a mile ..........

I want to know from whom I seek compensation. I was bored because of the loss of not606and the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov said we should go for a walk. We did but I slipped on the kerb and have twisted my good knee. I am pretty much chair bound at the moment. So I reckon I need to get in touch with one of those dodgy lawyers who are always telephoning me. My claim has to be made up of compensation for stress, injury, lost opportunities, pain and discomfort and nursing care as well as medical costs. So who was it spilt the coffee on the keyboard?

I cannot tell a lie, it was I. It happened when, with a mouth full of coffee, I read a post from Tom admitting that a ref had made an incorrect decision.

I would have fallen off my chair if I had read that. You don't have to go out for a walk to have an accident and experience immense pain and suffering.
